You said "ask us anything", so.... WASD Keyboards has an option to upload a template file for a higher degree of customization. They seem to push the vector format by insisting you use Inkscape and providing instructions to convert bitmaps to vectors. What's the result like if you stick a bitmap in their template file with lots of gradients and colors, like a photo, and don't convert it to vector? Also, is the face plate around the keys removable, if I wanted an all-white keyboard (for example)?
We can work with high-res bitmaps, yes. Nothing bad will happen if you do not convert bitmaps to vector, vector images just yield nicer printed results and tend to be easier for us to work with. The file does need to stay in a vector based program, so no Photoshop .psd files for example.
As for the outer case, the halves are removable and can be painted, plasti-dip, or vinyl wrapped.
