There's so many good tropes to pick from

I am a sucker for anything containing kidnapping, drugging, biting, and hidden injuries (not all together, but that'd definitely be interesting)

But, if it counts, definitely (now that I'm thinking about it a bit) sh in fics and stories (not romanticizing irl!! I just like it cuz I can relate and it's a way of coping for me)

Hero blinked a few times as they awoke, their eyes stinging as they adjusted to the newly bright room around them. They groaned in pain and tried their best to stretch their fatigued limbs.

"God," they thought "everything hurts..." Before they could continue their internal complaining, a familiar voice cut through the air.

"Good morning, darling"

"Villain.." Hero sighed in a disgruntled manner, tensing slightly the moment they registered who had brought them to where ever they were.

The sound of Villain's heels clicking against the cool tile floor as they walked around Hero echoed through the room. Hero slightly craned their neck to watch Villain as they walk to stand in front of them. "How do you feel, gorgeous?" Villain smirked gently as they spoke - god, Hero loved that.

Focus. Hero looked down and averted their eyes from Villain's face, "how would you feel if you got kidnapped" Hero snapped, voice going up an octave as they spoke.

Villain gently gripped Hero's jaw, forcing them to look up. "Look at me when you talk to me," Villain says lowly, a gentle growl thick in their throat. Hero felt their face heat up and the breath catch in the throat. "Now. With less attitude, darling, how are you feeling?"

Hero stammered out their answer "I-i'm fine.. head hurts... Uhm.. obviously" They cleared their throat nervously - why did Villain have to be this close to them.

"okay, good puppy," Villain gently pet their hair as they stood up in front of Hero, "I'll clean that up for you so you can rest" Villain runs their thumb over the now bruised wound, pressing down at the middle of it. Hero gently whimpers at the pressure, pain flaring as the tender flesh is touched. Villain gently kisses Hero's bruised temple before leaving and Hero is left there to think.
