âTe lo dije mamĂĄ, estoy bien, tienes que dejar de preocuparte por mĂ. No mamĂĄ, no puedes venir a verme, mamĂĄ.âŚâ Easton trailed off as he continued to let his mother rant, it was pointless to try and argue with her and he should have known it. He never should have told her that heâd had a bad patch in the first place, but she always had a knack for knowing when he was lying to her so it wasnât like he was going to get away with it. âSĂ mamĂĄ, irĂŠ a mis sesiones de terapia, te prometo, ok, adiĂłs mamĂĄ, te amo.â Without giving her a chance Easton ended the call, no doubt he would pay for that later, but heâd heard enough for today. Feeling a set of eyes on him Easton lifted his head, a brow raised at the person who had clearly listened to most of what he had said. âCan I help you? Didnât your mother tell you itâs rude to stare?â
leon didnât intentionally want to eavesdrop on the manâs conversation, but when it was so loud and obnoxiously personal he simply had no other choice. although his spanish was far from perfect he caught onto the majority of the conversation, and knew enough to know that it was best left interrupted. so leon stood there waiting for it to end before offering easton a small smile. the young man had been in the city for less than forty eight hours and had spent most of them getting familiar with people he would be working closely with, easton was just another name to check off his list of introductions. he made no acknowledgement of eastonâs phone conversation and when he posed the borderline confrontational question - leon simply stood there in silence for a second before replying. âno, she didnât actually. she had better things to teach me.â and it was the truth, despite the unnecessary lacing of sarcasm, âi assume youâre easton?â
