“I could do with another two years to figure out what the hell I’m gonna do.” He admitted with a shrug. “Just a word to the wise - take advantage of all the new parent emotions both Simmons’ are gonna have for me, yeah?”

“I’ll send you pictures of baby Simmons whenever I see her.” 

“What the… fuck are you okay?” Aravelline asked, her eyes wide as she stared at the crying girl, bewildered by the sudden show of emotion. “I didn’t mean to like… make you cry or whatever.” She added, looking around for someone to take over a problem she now regretted creating. “You just needed to move you know. You were just like… standing there. So I made a comment you know.”

Kaia felt her face grow red as she stood there, embarrassed that she would cry that easily. “I’m fine. I’m fine.” Kaia shook her head, looking at her feet. Why did she have to be such a dramatic person? “I moved, though. So you can go, I moved out of the way.”

Oliver couldn’t help but laugh. “Fair enough, although sometimes I think it might be easier if I were.”

“You want to stay?” Kaia raised her eyebrows slightly. “I mean, you can come and finish my last two years for me if you want. I’ll take your wand and diploma and we can switch.”

“I’m more of a lemonade type of person. I’ll drink it till my mouth is raw, honestly.”

“Lemonade is good, too.” Kaia paused. “You know what’s really good? Iced tea and lemonade mixed together.”

“Probably,” she replied. “Americans are pretty scary.”

“You say that like you’re not American.” Kaia scrunched her nose, giving her roommate a look.

“Yeah, if I want to overheat. It’s so hot outside. I’m excited for iced tea season.”

“Yeah, but would Aaron listen to Savannah?” she asked. “He barely listened to me this season.”

“You make a good point.” Kaia nodded. “I don’t think he would. Savannah’s badass, but I don’t think she has your intimidation factor that keeps Aaron borderline listening to you. But I don’t think his not listening should rob Sav of this opportunity.”
