welcome to walten city, north carolina. a small town that has seen its fair share of challenges, but continues to move forward. it's currently the summer of 2016 in walten city. the full force of tourist season is upon the quaint little town as business owners welcome the temporary additions to the town with open arms. beach space is at a premium and the streets are crowded. it's just the same old same old for walten's residents though.

so i’m sure nobody is going to be shocked by this, but walten will be postponed. we don’t know when we’ll be able to reopen again. i hate to be writing about this but walten has always relied on its staff. i could never imagine not opening walten without all the babes, and right now not all the babes can commit to the time that goes into walten. we will one day hopefully reopen walten. right now is just not right and it wouldn’t be fair to us or to the members if we tried to open without a full staff giving the full commitment.

hi guys! i was wondering if there was a new estimate for the re-opening. i'm going to be busy for a week in September touring grad schools that i'm applying to and just trying to figure out if it will be around that time. if you aren't sure no worries! just curious. thanks c:

we’ve had several setbacks for the site opening. mainly due to scheduling conflicts between staff members. most of the site is almost done. right now it’s mainly just staff getting apps done and such. hopefully we’ll be open within the next two weeks. =)

i'm going to be a new member but i just wanted y'all to know that you totally didn't come off as bullying to me!! idk i just didn't want you guys to feel bad like you were coming off that way with other people basically and i am so excited for this site

for the other anon, i just wanted to say that as a former (potential returning) member of walten, i just wanted to assure you that this group of admins are some of the nicest, most understanding group of people in the rping world. walten's existed for so long and has been this huge community, and a big reason for that is these admins. all members joining walten are in good hands! -- aubrey

i’m answering this primarily to clarify: we call everyone nerds in an extremely affectionate way. we love everyone with interest in walten. we love walten, we love its members.

i don’t know what you found to be “bullying,” exactly. but if anyone has some concern or criticism with how we run things (not just our hella lazy and last minute reserves contest) please feel free to voice it.

our staff is a group of sarcastic assholes, which doesn’t always translate well in plain text. we love you nerds. you beautiful, wonderful nerds. we couldn’t do this without you.

graphic sizes, apps, and shippers oh my!

so here’s some infor for all of you beautiful baes to keep yourself entertained with. if you like having everything all ready to go, then you’ll probs be happy to know we’ve got some graphic sizes for you:

app: you will need three images for the app. one 200x300 image that should be of your character’s play by. then, two additional images that are 160x120. at least one fo these must be of your animated character.

mini profile: there are two images in the mini profile. the large image is 225x350 and the secondary image will be resized to 195x100.

shipper: yes we will have a mandatory shipper. the image for it is 215x325. in the future we may have other formats of the shipper that may have different images sizes. for now this is the only one.

Is gender bending of canon characters allowed?

Gender bending is not allowed on walten since we are more a personified site than we are a spirits site. If this rule ever changes we'll be sure to let you all know. This of course in no way effects non-binary characters! On the other hand next gen walten is genderbends only 😉
