Ok, since you guys have had to wait so long for the most recent chapters of "When Stormy Weather Comes Around", I thought I'd give you a little preview of chapter 50. Now, everything is subject to change and editing could completely alter this but... fuck it!
No idea when the actual chapter will get uploaded (hopefully soon!) but here we go. Spoilers, I guess...
Realistically, Leon knew it had only been a second or two since Claire’s surprised shout had driven Sherry’s wide blue eyes his way. However, time had slowed to such an agonizing crawl that, if he’d been asked later how long their mutually shocked gaze had held, he would have guessed a whole eternity.Â
In fact, the only thing in that dark parking garage that was moving at a pace faster than molasses was the flush of burning embarrassment that spread over the young cop’s face.
Oh… oh, make it stop…
As he stared in mortified silence at the small child whose eyes matched his own–in color and, currently, size–Leon realized that he should probably react at some point. To do something and break free of this horrible, slow motion nightmare.
But the stunned face of the girl and the unwelcome flood of horrific memories of unlocked doors and parents who just refused to knock, crashed against his mind and froze him in place.
And, just like those awkward nights of his teen years, his mind slowly kicked in and finally asked a very familiar and very important question.
Still squeezing Claire’s ass.
That’s where they were.
And that's why you don't sneak off to argue and then end up making out in the middle of an apocalypse.
Hopefully the next chapter will be up soon. I still have a lot to write but I've been making progress lately.
If you're new and want to read this stupid (and long) fic from the beginning, I'll link it down below. Note that some of the content is heavy so check the notes and tags.
