Fortuna no Hitomi (2019) starring Kamiki Ryunosuke and Arimura Kasumi
Kamiki Ryunosuke and Arimura Kasumi have been cast in the film âFortuna no Hitomiâ (Fortunaâs Eye), which is based on a book by Hyakuta Naoki. They will act as lovers.Â
Kamiki plays Kiyama Shinichiro, a lonely man who mysteriously gained the ability to see through the bodies of those who are about to die. Arimura plays Kiryu Aoi, the lover of Kiyama. However, Kiyama is able to see through Kiryuâs body one day.
Dir. Miki Takahiro (Solanin, Control Tower, Ao Haru Ride, Aozora Yell, SenseiăăăSuki ni Natte mo Ii Desuka?, Sakamichi no Apollon) will direct the film. The film is slated for a 2019 release.Â
Kamiki and Arimura have previously worked together in:
SPEC franchise (no scenes together, Kamiki as a major villain, Arimura as a side character on the protagonistsâ side)
11 Nin mo Iru! (Kamiki as main character and older brother, Arimura as one of his younger siblings)
Sangatsu no Lion duology (Kamiki as main character and younger brother, Arimura as older adoptive sister)
Judging from their interactions, they are close enough to be playfully rude, so at least Iâm not worried about them having to adjust to each other since they have worked together many times. The only thing Iâm more worried about is Arimuraâs acting, which is rather average. The situation might end up with Kamiki steamrolling her once again like he did each time he acted with her.
Last but not least, the joke about this film is that Kamiki has finally gotten a romance project that he has been wishing so hard for.Â

Thanks so much for the express mail! Apologies for replying so late -- still working on school stuff. I was quite happy when I saw the news! A romance film for Kamiki at last! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. :)
Happy 25th birthday, Kamiki!
Scrambled to get back on Tumblr in the middle of everything to post this! Happy birthday, Kamiki! Hope to see you in more projects this year! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
On 13th Apr 2018 night, Kamiki Ryunosuke, Nakagawa Taishi, Arioka Daiki, Inoo Kei, Chinen Yuri, Nakajima Yuto and Takaki Yuya were spotted attending Disneyâs 35th anniversary performance together as a group.
Some of my favorite people all together!Â
Iâm sorry Iâve disappeared for so long, folks! Iâm facing a crazy semester of school. Iâll probably be gone for another month before I can start posting stuff more regularly again.Â

TV Guide PERSON Vol. 68 9th Apr 2018, feat. Kamiki Ryunosuke

p.s. Hanyu Yuzuru and Kamiki Ryunosuke in the same magazine. Also, Kamiki voiced the main character Tachibana Taki in Kimi no Na wa, which is one of Uno Shomaâs fave works. Talk about coincidence.

The background activity is the best XD
I chuckled a little when I saw how Amazon JP translated the name of HSJ member Yaotome Hikaru (ć «äč愳ć ) into âEight Virgo Lightâ for me in English. Ah, well, youâre not completely wrong, Amazon... XD And Eight Virgo Light is not bad for a nickname, you know ;)
My HFF 2017 goods arrived last week by mail, and I was so,so lucky to have gotten Kamikiâs badge out of the random acrylic badges. Iâll treasure this forever!!

YES!!!! I will be going to NYC to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway this summer! I received an access code this time and was able to get tickets this morning. Canât wait to see the show!Â
Iâm starting this new post and copying some stuff from our old post here to keep stuff about the same topic in one post. Hope you donât mind :)
Hereâs our previous conversation about Yuto:
@wakaechan:
Iâm impressed with Yutoâs acting! Personally, I really enjoyed his performance in Pink and Gray. His skills are not totally up there yet, but I think he has a lot of potential and I look forward to watching his future projects.Â
@the50-person replied:
Indeed!
Yes, heâs still a work in progress, and itâs a pity that JE focuses most of the resources on Yamada. Iâm not against Yamada, just that itâs really a pity because Yuto has the potential and also giving him good resources like they did for Yamada will help him to grow and develop as an actor. In the long-term, thatâll be an investment that will ensure stability as the current generation matures to become the core pillar of JE. Itâs better to also spread out the risks and not put eggs all in one basket, and logically speaking, having one more talent with acting and box office potential is better no?
 @wakaechanâ replied:
Yes, I completely agree. God knows how much I love Ryosuke and everyone in HSJ, but I would certainly love to see Yuto getting more opportunities to act, especially in more diverse material. Ryosuke has been doing a broader range of stuff in recent years and I think it really helped him grow. If Yuto can go on a similar path, it strengthens HSJ as a group and also helps with the long-term development of JE. Ah, well, resources are always problematic for idol groups with lots of members, and with nine members HSJ will always be struggling hard in this aspect. Fingers crossed for more resources!Â
@the50-personâ replied:
The thing is that Yamada has always been developed as the centre right from the early days. Itâs only been recently that Yuto got a bit more spotlight.
And hereâs my new reply:Â
Thatâs very true. Iâm a new fan of HSJ, so Iâm not going to pretend that Iâm an expert on them, but based on my limited knowledge of their history I do have a lot of frustration about how JE has handled the group since their debut back in 2007. I have nothing against Ryosuke being developed as the center â with such a large group they do need one, and I think Ryosukeâs the right choice and worthy of every job JE has given him. The problem is how they manage other members of the group around Ryosuke, so everyone can work together as a team while highlighting Ryosuke as the center. It should be about developing him to serve as an introductory/entry point to the group and keeping him as a focal point, not throwing every job they can at him and ignoring the development of other members. As a fan of the group, itâs painful to think about how poor Ryosuke was clearly overworked while other members suffered from fragmentary developing opportunities for quite some time. Thankfully, things have been getting much better in recent years, and Iâm finally seeing HSJ moving forward as a team.
I think most of their problems occurred in the period a couple years after their debut. They weren't given that much good work in general during that time, and with the stuff they were able to get, like I said above, my impression is their management team didnât put in enough effort to figure out more clearly which direction(s) each member should be mainly focusing on, so they can allocate different kinds of resources to members who are most fit for a certain job. It almost felt like they simply resorted to giving the best jobs (acting or otherwise) to Ryosuke (and Chinen sometimes) and then rather haphazardly assigning other things to other members. There was also the whole NYC business. I can understand how they wanted to use the popularity of Ryosuke to boost the group, but this strategy wonât work in the long term if they fail to invest in and take risks with other members at the same time. I can also understand how they may have wanted each member to try out a couple of different things to find their strengths, but with nine members itâs logistically impossible to give them that amount of resources for trial and error, so wouldnât it just be more realistic to do some general planning earlier on about how to develop each member and then adjust along the way if needed? Well, weâll never know about the inner workings of JE management, so this is just a bunch of thoughts Iâm pulling out of my head as an outsider and I could totally be wrong, but in retrospect I really feel like they could have designed a better development strategy for the group over their ten-year career trajectory.
Now at HSJâs eleventh year itâs good to see how theyâve finally settled at least some members into more focused directions, and the group has been getting more high quality resources in the past few years, so I really hope they can keep this up. Theyâve already put Yuto on the actor trajectory, so Iâm sure he will be getting more acting opportunities soon. Better late than never, right?

The original post was getting a little long so I trimmed it, hope you donât mind :)Â
Yeah, Iâm also just diverting my attention nowadays to not go crazy. Iâve actually fallen deep into the Hey! Say! JUMP pit recently partly because of Kamiki and his harem⊠It almost felt inevitable in a sense. I mean, look at this:
Loves Kamiki -> watches Tantei Gakuen Q and the first episode of Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo N for Kamiki -> also falls in love with Yamada Ryosuke in the process -> stumbles deep into the Hey! Say! JUMP pitâŠ
Loves Dori -> watches HOPE and Yowakutemo Katemasu for Dori -> also falls in love with Nakajima Yuto in the process -> stumbles deep into the Hey! Say! JUMP pitâŠ
Loves Oryo -> watches Water Polo Yankees for Oryo -> also falls in love with Nakajima Yuto and Takaki Yuya in the process -> stumbles deep into the Hey! Say! JUMP pitâŠ
LOL this was my experience anyway. There is of course some degree of coincidence in here, but my impression is Kamiki does seems like a central node in this vast network of Japanese young actors/idols, and by admiring and following his work and the work of those around him, you can expand your knowledge of young Japanese talents very easily in a short span of time.Â
Anyway, that was kind of off topic, so once again letâs keep our fingers crossed for some Kamiki news soon!
Well, itâs inevitable that he becomes the central node. In his long career, he will have co-acted or come into contact with someone at some point. His 1993 batch produced quite a few stars. But of course, the main thing is also his friendly personality, social skills and his harmless appearance (Ryo was envious of it lol) that made other men more willing to befriend him. Besides, these days, the popular young actors work together quite often, so they kind of know each other.
Suda, Yamaken, Fumi are a group. Fumi introduced Yamaken to Kamiki. Ryo hung out with Kamiki (agency mate) and Yamaken (ex-costar) before. Dori is another guy who acts like a central node who hangs with Kamiki-gumi. Kamiki has his own Kamiki-gumi (Shima, Taishi and I suspect, Mackenyu), his Horikoshi 3D class (Yamada, Nakajima, Nomushu, Shida, Kawashima, Hayato), other former child actors (Kanata, Suga Kenta, Sometani). So now weâve got the current popular actors covered.
For the older gen, he has acted as a brother, child, nephew, grandson, student of them in one project or another e.g. as brother of Okada Masaki. Higashide Masahiro is close to him because he was a late starter in the industry and Kamiki helped him a lot in his first project.
Then there are all the directors. xD These uncles dote on him a lot.
But our social flower extends his tendrils even to variety shows, where he can form bonds with hosts, like Eiji Wentz LOL. Recently, his hands have stretched into the VA world, with Kaji as his latest âvictimâ. They went to eat with director Shinkai, who apparently smiled dotingly at them HAHAHA.
Nakajima Yuto is one to watch in terms of acting.
Thanks so much for all this awesome info about Kamikiâs gigantic social circle! Yeah, I absolutely agree with how his long and fruitful career, wonderful personality, and outstanding social skills are a large part of why heâs a central node in the Japanese talent circle. And this surely is a really nice plus side to following his work, since we get to know a lot of other talents from various areas as well as different generations along the way. :)

Mine too! I've been watching this on repeat and it gets me every time. I love how the story is so layered and rich without losing a beautiful sense of simplicity. It delivers so much in such a short amount of time.Â
