I had my first mammogram last year. I lived in fear of it, because everyone said it hurt. It didn’t. It was uncomfortable for sure, but it lasts about 10 seconds. There was no actual pain (nb. I have large breasts, so it may be more uncomfortable if yr smaller in the bust). Mostly I just wanna say, don’t fear it, don’t put it off, especially not in NZ where their free once you reach 45. Don’t let others scare you about it.

It's so much different when a website changes their community guidelines than having guidelines in place from the get go. Facebook and Amino come to mind. Changing them means there are a bunch of people now retroactively breaking rules. There are already SFW fandom spaces. (Again, Amino comes to mind.) So fuck tumblr and fuck the people defending it because they want a squeaky clean space to naivigate when there are already tons of those. Some that were previously purged themselves.

It’s such bullshit and it’s bad for their reputation. A lot of people are arguing “but there’s kids on the site who will get groomed!” like the app isn’t 18+ with a safe mode option both on mobile and desktop that can’t be disabled for underaged users.

I mean besides all the issues with it, from a business standpoint? It’s just a goddamn awful idea. People want porn! I literally just read in the news today that, because Starbucks is banning porn sites from being accessed by their WiFi (which isn’t awful, all things considered), YouPorn retaliated (hilariously) by banning Starbucks products from their offices. And people were cheering them on!

A certain nsfw artist I follow on Twitter has posted this pic from Scrubs multiple times in relation to what’s been going on on tumblr:

Instead of taking steps to monitor and deal with bot issues and cp, perhaps learn from how bigger websites deal with these issues, they’ve decided to eradicate all nsfw content… which just shows their incompetency. Guess what? There’ll still be pornbots and predators will find ways to share cp. Their filtering system doesn’t even work, it keeps flagging totally safe content.

The tumblr staff is fucking incompetent and has done nothing but erase and alienate a shit-ton of their user base. This won’t solve the pornbot or cp problem, tumblr. You have done nothing to solve the actual, legitimate issues you sought to fix.
