Antique delicacy | The Sighthound
photography of my recently completed sculpting project.
Ive always been hesitant to make a full body sculpture, but Im glad to have committed to this project! The painting process was especially rewarding and meditative! Ive worked with Acrylics and two types of varnish.
small detail: the eyes are glass cabochons, backed with real 24k goldleaf, so when light hits the eyes, it reflects in bright gold!
I gots to know, are your sculptures done in zbrush then 3d printed, Or are they hand carved/sculpted from a material and then painted?

hey there! thank you very much! Its sculpted in Zbrush from scratch and then Printed in parts and assembled! I had to sculpt parts of the mane and tail by hand and blend the seams so its kinda both !
