The thing that makes I and other transfems so uncomfortable when TME queers say they are envious of how our bodies are "so transgressive," is that its never about us existing as women in a society trying to deny that.
Its always that our bodies are transgressive because they see it as so at odds and incongruent with femininity. And its often demeaning they way they feel so comfortable talking so openly about our bodies in such a way.

I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). if you say women are intentionally nerfed from birth in 2026 people look at you like you’re insane and start condescendingly telling you about how women are just better at different things (but not during their periods haha) but this was a completely basic feminist talking point I grew up with like “girls can do it too! I didn't have the language for it back then but I did mention to a transmasc person I knew that the "trans inclusive swim times" needed to be specifically stating that Trans Women and Transfems were overtly welcome because we so often exclude ourselves from trans spaces for fear of being perceived as predators (through the internalizing of systemic rejection of transfeminine people even within queer spaces) and they were very stunned and aghast because it put into context the refusal of 3 transfems they invited to the swim time and how there was only 1 transfem in the like 30 people that showed up and said transfem was the one that hadn't refused their invitation. I said this to them after their friend was asked to leave the "trans inclusive swim time" which obviously contributed to this sort of invisibilized yet evident dynamics description
They talked about it to the events organizers and said event organizers essentially told my acquaintance that "this is a space for people to feel safe, and that they will prioritize those who state feeling uncomfortable in the presence of others over said others" and their heart fucking sank and they made a stink about how this was horrifying twerf and bioessentialist rhetoric. They were banned from the "trans inclusive swim times" and so was their transfem friend. Not because they were transmasculine, but specifically because they were not okay with the fact that some fuckass twerf in an entire group was given so much power as to manage to exclude any and all transfems from the "trans inclusive swim times"
Idk. I'm tired. I'm sad. I'm hungry, and I'm thinking. I am too exhausted to be angry.

And other such tags I am vaguely paraphrasing are ones I have had the horror of reading on my post. The trans girls are not swimming. It feels like there is a hole in my body where my heart should be, through which all my blood is pouring. I can't.
This is just the tiniest fucking window into how transmisogyny affect people. This is about a space that was held by trans people and for trans people where the transphobia targeting a transfeminine person was prioritized over everything else.
If anyone doesn't believe how badly transfems want to swim and how badly they fucking don't get to, don't feel/aren't safe enough to do so, whatever the fuck else, just look at the comments and tags. I thought there were already too many for it to be random on a post with, at this time, about ten times the reach of this one hereabove.
And yet I have ten times as many tags and comments on this here post about trans women and transfems not swimming. Heartbroken doesn't fucking cover it. I am trying to stay sane in the face of this but I am seriously not doing a great job at it. Fucking hell.
I had to get bottom surgery, move around the world, and I'm still waiting on recovery before I can swim again. And I'm fortunate in that my drowning stories haven't left me with a terror of water but they very well could have. Swimming is one of my favorite things and I've missed it
Oh what's a drowning story? Ask pretty much any transfem and they'll have some tale of someone trying to drown them as a child. It's not *always* drowning but it very often is. Why? It's a way to kill someone and play it off as an accident that is so easy to do, a literal child can come up with it and often do. And children will try to drown you because they understand, on a subconscious level, that adults hate the sissy faggot child and would be happier if that child was gone and they want the approval of getting rid of the sissy faggot child.
