The Presto Scarf (weaving)

I got a ball of superwash merino yarn with my Presto 10” rigid heddle loom, but the yellow/orange color didn’t appeal to me. My spouse suggested adding a red to make it lean towards a “fall leaves” color, so I dipped into my stash to find another superwash wool in a similar weight that I could mix into this project.

Baby Socks – NB – Stroll Sock Labs 1811.02 (knitting)

Hoping these blue Sock Labs stripe up nicely since these socks are such small circumference.

I also have a skein of the pink Sock Lab 1811.01, but since I don’t know Baby #3’s sex, I’ll wait until after they’re born to decide if I want to incorporate that skein.

A shame, really, because I think they’d make cute contrasting heels with each other.

Little Sock Arms – 0-6mo – Felici Rainbow & Bare (knitting)

Switching to smaller needles because I know felici is a thinner fingering weight and I tend to be a loose knitter. Not swatching because this sweater is going to BE a swatch (if it’s larger/smaller than intended, it’ll still work since baby will fit it at one point or another).

I really liked the color scheme for my little sock arms sweater and swirl hat (and second swirl hat), so clearly since baby is due in August I need a short-sleeved something in the same color scheme.

Baby Socks – NB – Spectrum Stroll (knitting)

I love this pattern, it’s very easy. The ONLY thing that gave me trouble is when I missed the line “Final Heel Row(RS): K8 heel sts” just before the Gusset section and didn’t end up starting the Gusset section in the right place.

Once I made sure to actually read and follow the pattern instead of rushing through assuming that I had it, it was super easy to follow.

Swirl Hat – NB – Felici Rainbow & Bare (knitting)

Not sure if I knit it too long or not – I measured 5 inches (per pattern instructions) but did not stretch the natural ribbing of the hat to get that measurement – I measured the hat flat, but relaxed.

We’ll see if it’s too big when the baby arrives.

Flax – 1-2 yrs – Frozen Pond Provincial Tweed (knitting)

With my gauge, knitting the 2-4T instructions to the 1-2Y lengths to achieve a 1-2Y sized sweater.

Looks like unwashed gauge is 22 stitches in 4 inches

This makes it closer to a 6-12 month sweater than the 0-6 month size I had cast on, so I may knit to the 6-12 month lengths and sleeves. It’s only a half inch difference on the body length and 2 extra sleeve inches.

I wanted to use up the rest of the Schachenmayr Mint yarn, but I knew I wouldn’t have enough to complete a Milo by itself so I grabbed a ball of Stroll in White for the garter sections. I actually REALLY like this color combo – I hope I don’t get any color bleeding from the mint to the white yarn when it gets washed.

Milo Bambino – 6mo – Cloudborn Slate Heather (knitting)

Started putting together everything for this project because I have to do the 3 hour pregnancy glucose test (I failed the 1 hour) and I wanted an easy project to take with me and keep me occupied.
