and yet,   for the first time,   her violent nature is not frowned ‘pon.   the words that tickle hound - like audits are not to reprimand her repugnant demeanor,   nor are they drenched in holy water and embellished with the sanctified relics of long forgotten martyrs and pariahs   ;   𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗘,   a language made of saccharine chortles and grotesque howls in equal measure,   a language that is capable of painting the world in the darkest blacks and the brightest whites at the same time.   the she - fox perks up,   poise losing the sulk that had been weighing heavily ‘pon her lithe shoulders and acquiring a new sort of puerile glee,   a lighter mien that wastes no time before molding her doll - like features into an expressionism of anticipation and mirth.   ❝   murder   ?   ❞   parrots almost unconsciously the vixen,   the cup of porcelain in her hands discarded and she comes to perilously lean on the edge of her seat,   as if frightened by the remote possibility that her interlocutor was merely taunting her.   ❝   does it mean that you would   𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙋   me with it   ?   i’ve been careless lately and my killings are usually really messy and thus easy to recognize...   but if you helped me,   then i think that we could do this without worrying about being stopped nor discovered.   ❞

𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐒,   will she wilt alongside the strawberry bushes and the lilies of the valley   ?   Will she also lay herself bare,   all skin and bones and   𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀,   so that the voracious maw of wintertide may make a feast out of her   ?   He speaks of similarities but she sees none:   ‘pon the palms of his blemished hands,   he holds hope and terror in equal measure,   for he is both the messiah and the malefactor   ;   ‘pon the palms of her hands,   she holds the crooked and chewed bones of almost - lovers and fallen heroes,   for she may only be what fate has cursed her to be     /     𝘈 𝘔𝘖𝘕𝘚𝘛𝘌𝘙,   𝘈 𝘔𝘖𝘕𝘚𝘛𝘌𝘙,   𝘼 𝙈𝙊𝙉𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙍   .

Fur - coated appendages amuse themselves with languid motions,   a speckle of brilliant whites in the dimly lit atmosphere of his office   ;   those quivering candles will burn out soon,   a part of her wants to mention,   but no sound is made     ⸻     if she spoke now,   she would have to also address his previous utterance and she is not yet ready for veracity and fairness.   And thus the she - fox lethargically lingers 'pon the cushiony comfort of the couch,   𝗔 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗧𝗦,   warmth - kissed cheek cradled in one hand and golden gaze loyally settled ‘pon him.   It would be easy to lie,   it would be easy to redirect their conversation towards topics and matters more congenital to her mischievous nature as a   𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧   but even a heart as sullen and overripe as her own knows that he deserves better than honeyed nothings whispered against his ears   (   there is not much that she can offer him as comfort,   for her mother tongue speaks in cruelty and carnage and she was never taught that she   too   could be tender and benignant to another   )   .
