Crocodile and Doflamingo were sitting in a room, waiting for the marines to tell them they were allowed to go to the meeting room. They were alone, Crocodile sitting on a chair by the table, pretending to read the news. Pretending, because he could not focus on anything he was reading.
On the other side of the room, Doflamingo was laying on the couch, perfectly comfortable and playing with his strings. He wasn't saying anything, and the blond wasn't even acknowledging the other man's presence.
At some point, Crocodile couldn't stand it anymore and he suddenly turned around and attacked Doflamingo, throwing his hook to the blond's head.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Crocodile growled with annoyance, now in front of the couch.
"Pray tell, Crocodile," Doflamingo started with a confused frown, his hand having stopped the blow without barely moving. "What have I done this time to earn this reaction?"
A vein popped on Crocodile's temple and he tried to hit the blond once more.
"Did you just call me by my name?" The brunet sneered, but Doflamingo only stopped his hook again, even more confused now. "You're too quiet and not bothering me by being all touchy, I know you're just planning something."
As the words reached Doflamingo's ears, the man raised his eyebrows for a second, surprised, but the next moment he was smiling with amusement. The blond sat up on the couch, his face now close to Crocodile's.
"You're the one that's told me several times to leave you alone and not to be so loud, Wani." Doflamingo purred, delighted. Crocodile was not putting distance between them, and now it was obvious why. The brunet hadn't once attacked him when he was pushing his buttons and flirting with him, but now that Doflamingo was giving him some space, the man was more annoyed than he had ever seen the brunet. "I was being considerate and respectful, you know, trying another angle." The blond chuckled. "Sorry I misunderstood, it won't happen again."
Crocodile's eye twitched and then he clicked his tongue, turning around and going back to his seat.
"Don't." The brunet said dryly, grabbing the newspaper again. "As I said, I thought you were planning something, so if you were really just doing what I said, then keep doing that." He continued. "I enjoy peace and quiet."
"Of course, Wani." Doflamingo purred with a predatory smile, standing up from the couch and walking until he was behind the other man, leaving barely any distance between the two of them. "Whatever you say."
