What is love? It is not simply compassion, not simply kindness. In compassion there are two: the one who suffers and the one who feels compassion. In kindness there are two: the one who gives and the one who receives. But in love there is only one; the two join, unite, become inseparable. The I and the you vanish. To love means to lose oneself in the beloved.

With the amount of energy it takes you to blame others for your problems, you could be devoting energy to actually solving them; nobody innately owes you their consideration. Accepting responsibility for the suffering you experience is the first step to overcoming it. When you realize this, you cease being a victim of circumstance, because you realize you never really were; you’ve been a victim of your own shortcomings, and now that you’ve accepted them, you are capable of change.
