Made a lil edit of an emoji redraw I did for pride :3
The lightning that reachers her is, admittedly, not a high voltage. He didn’t want to hurt her so they’d kept it low, just a small shock not intending to hurt too bad. Granted his definition of low voltage was vastly different than most, given how high lightning could go. Regardless, the hero villain grins as she yelps and backs up.
Soren lands just after she does, albeit a bit roughly. Gotta train more but that was fun! They shrug, walking towards her more casually now. Small sparks of electricity cling to his feet as they lift off and plant back down. “Fair enough, but you did cause a bit of a disruption so—rules say I gotta bring you in. If you come in peacefully I’ll put in a good word with the cops.” Soren replied, head cocking to the side as they grin.
"Wait, the cops? I thought..." She trails off as her expression cycles through a look of confusion, realization, then annoyance. She sighs.
"Oh, please. Don't be like that. I thought you were, um... Well, let's just say I thought we were playing on opposite teams." She says with a small huff of breath, eyes narrowed as she watches the hero's gait slow to a casual stroll towards her.
"But, ah, the cops and I- We don't really see eye to eye, you know?" She continued, taking a step back as she weighed her options.
"Can't we chalk this up to a simple misunderstanding...? We are on the same side, after all, haha~"
Soren raises an eyebrow at that, grinning lazily. “Same side? Oh, do tell what side do you think I’m on?” He asks, head cocking to the side. Their eyes never flick away, watching her not unlike a predator hunting. They don’t want to risk her running off and needing to give chase. “‘Cause so far you’re little mess here’s got me thinkin’ you’re a vigilante of some kind. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t care for most vigilantes, but I’ve got hero comm’ rules to follow.”
Truthfully he didn’t see anything inherently wrong with vigilantism. Sure the commission didn’t like vigilantes, but they didn’t care. If a vigilante was bending the rules to do the good heroes couldn’t and not hurting civilians, then who was he to stop them?
Soren pauses in the doorway to the living room, spotting Aizawa on the couch. He blinks once, then twice at the look on the other’s face and the tone sounding off with his words. “Yeah, sort of.” They look the other over before spotting the offending bottle of alcohol. Ah. “Stressful day, I take it?” The hero villain asks as he moves to sit beside the other, though keeping a respectful distance.
In truth Soren needed to ask Aizawa to sign off on some things the commission was asking for. He’d already gone to All Might and Endeavour, leaving the teacher left. However the sight of the other not quite himself has them holding off on the topic for now. “Want me to stay ‘nd make sure you don’t get drink enough to get a hangover?”
Eyes closed lightly and only opened once Soren had seated himself. "Mmm, you could say that," he admitted, although he didn't really want to discuss the details of said day. "I ended up working longer than I expected yesterday night but, that comes with the job." Long hours were only part of Aizawa's real issue, with the type of hero work he did, every bust he made was emotionally taxing. "I just needed to decompress a little, take the edge off."
"Thanks for the concern but, I won't drink enough for that to be a problem," he stated plainly. He supposed it would be best to be at least hospitable. "Did you want one?" he offered, jutting his chin towards the whiskey bottle that sat on the coffee table. Obsidian eyes then shifted to meet theirs. "What was it that you needed out of me?"
Not knowing the specifics was fine with him, truthfully. They wouldn’t pry if permission wasn’t implied or offered. “Ah, that’s fair. That why you’re always sleepin’ in that sleeping bag?” Soren replies, a lightheartedly teasing lilt to his words. They were much the same, though hero work wasn’t the main culprit to his own insomnia.
They glance at the bottle and he hums, debating it over in their head. “Sure, thanks.” Might as well take the offer. He looks back to Aizawa before speaking. “Oh, I needed you to sign off on some paperwork the commission’s askin’ for. I already asked the other two ‘nd got their signs, just need you. Basic check in shit the comm’ asks for, that’s all.”
Soren had almost assumed he’d gone to the wrong classroom when they found the lights off. However a quick scan and there he finds the person they were looking for. He enters the room and walks over, metal of their boots clicking on vinyl flooring. He goes to speak but Shota beats them to it. Huh, short mood.
“Well, given today’s a day I’m supposed to be checking in with you but I haven’t seen you till now, I went looking.” Soren replies, tone still shallowly cheery albeit calmer than usual. He looks the other hero over once, then twice, before speaking again. “You okay?”
They move to sit across from Aizawa, faintly glowing eyes studying him.
The sharp snapping of Soren's feet felt like daggers piercing their way through his brain. The sound alone caused him to inwardly grimace and want to strangle them for it. Fingers pressed harder into his eyes until the noise finally ceased. He gave them a final firm rub and blinked a few times before his eyes came back into focus.
Black eyes flitted over to Soren only to meet bioluminescent blues. "Don't worry about it, it's just a nasty migraine. I was planning on finding you closer to the end of the day but, you've obviously beat me to it." The teacher then shifted to lean back into his seat, his shoulders slumped. "Alright then, tell me about your day. It went well, I hope."
“Migraine, hm? Anything I can do to help?” Soren asks with a tilt of his head. They feel a bit bad now about needing to find the other when he was clearly not doing so well but there wasn’t much they could do about it now. “I can come back later, if you’d like? Don’t wanna make it worse.”
He offers but gets told to talk regardless, so they nod. “Yeah, relatively the same stuff as usual.” He replies, voice growing quieter to hopefully help Aizawa’s migraine not worsen. “Woke up, did my usual morning routines, came here. Did some training at one of the facilities on campus for a bit then took a break and worked on paperwork.” They list off his day like usual, trying to make sure they didn’t forget anything. “More training after lunch, then a jog, paperwork, then over to you.”

Daray had spent a fair amount of time, walking within his local area. If he couldn't take his blindfold off often, he knew it was important to be familiar with the area where you lived. It only ever took one missed turn to take you significantly off course, and if you were walking without external help navigating, trying to find your way again wasn't as simple as just backtracking for a while. He'd thought he'd done enough wandering around his usual part of town, by now, enough to be able to find his way back to familiar ground again, but. Well…
Suffice it to say, Daray was unbelievably lost. He had found himself in a place he didn't recognize as anything beyond "the city, somewhere," based on what he could hear and smell- but even with that, there was such an uncanny lack of… something, he couldn't place what was missing. Nor did he have time to figure it out, too lost in his own confusion to realize he may actually be in danger until he had already been struck from behind, knocked forward with enough force to throw him off his feet entirely.
Oddly, he felt as though he was, for once, not actually the target of whoever had assailed him. It was almost like he was just some unlucky bystander, which was shockingly comforting if he ignored the fact that he was abruptly caught up in something a bit beyond him. Unfortunately, completely ignoring that was equal parts impossible and unwise. He was struggling to regain his bearings, able to hear people shouting and running around him- but he had dropped and now couldn't find his cane, and had to prioritize finding a wall instead, feeling along it and trying to go in the same direction as everyone else, but…
He was not going to be fast enough to get away on his own, like that. Not to mention having a striking enough appearance, he'd draw anyone's attention…
“More than a little?” Soren sighs internally at that. If Daray’s situation was more complicated, then getting him home would be just as complicated. He’s already making up living arrangements in their head since he wasn’t sure how long it would take to send the other home. Hopefully it doesn’t come to it but if it does they can offer Daray his guest room or to book a hotel.
They nod and gently help the other take hold of his arm. Soren shuts and locks the car door behind Daray before starting to lead the way to the hospital doors. “Got any id on you? The hospital staff might ask for it, and law enforcement definitely will once they come snooping around to question you.”
He walks at a decent pace, not too quick to trip up the other but not too fast to be hard to keep up with. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we get you home as soon as we can, okay?” Their voice is gentle and reassuring, hoping to put whatever unease Daray was experiencing to a lesser degree.

// STARTER. @voltagecrow
“Ah, there you are! For a moment I thought I’d lost you!” The unmistakable voice of Japan’s number one hero called out from behind Soren. And when the young hero turned around, sure enough, there was All Might, having just landed from a jump that had brought him up to the rooftop. He stood up to his full, impressive height, dusting his hands off before they came to rest casually on his hips.
“My sincerest apologies if you happen to be in a rush! I was hoping I could catch up before you left the scene but you left so quickly and—“ All Might’s bright grin mellowed into something just a touch more sheepish, lifting a hand to run over his hair, his bangs flattening under his hand before springing back up again. He could have certainly caught up with this mysterious new hero before he’d fled from the press, but that would have meant ignoring a gaggle of teenagers begging for an autograph.
“Well anyway!! That was some pretty impressive handiwork back there!” He gave the young hero a beaming smile, accompanied by a thumbs up. “Really top notch! Though I can't seem to remember seeing you before- and I think I would remember if I have! Mind if I catch your name before you disappear again?”
The sound of someone landing behind him has them turning around quickly, arms flicking on. Another villain? Bastard, I just finished with—oh. Soren relaxes as he sees who it was, glad it wasn’t another villain come to cause havoc. They remain quiet as he watches and listens to the number one, curious as to why he’d given chase. Wasn’t he dealing with the press?
They notice the bangs flick back up and he grins a little at how silly it looked. Faintly glowing eyes flick back to meet All Might’s gaze as the other talks, humming softly. “You can call me Voltage, and no, I don’t think we’ve met prior to today.” Soren replied with a small shake of his head. “Yeah, I usually take off after handing over a villain. The press and I don’t exactly have the greatest relationship.”
Arms lazily cross over their chest as he looks over the other pro for a moment. He was—a lot taller than videos and photos made him look. “You usually come chasin’ after heroes you haven’t met before?” Soren asks with a small grin, hoping All Might wasn’t just here to make sure they didn’t do some sketchy shit. Given the other didn’t recognize him they figure he was just curious.
"I don't usually have to!" He laughed aloud, closing the gap between them to instead stand a respectful but conversational distance away. "Quite often it's the other way around! Regardless, I do like to know the names of active heroes in the area, we are coworkers by technicality, after all. And it’s good to have connections!”
The hero extended a friendly—and massive—hand to shake, tilting his head to the side a bit. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Voltage! I look forward to working with you- and now I know who to credit if you should ever help me out in a pinch.”
*Tall…* He internally muses as the other steps closer, having to tilt their head the smallest to keep eye contact. “Hm, suppose that is true.” He doubts they’ll come into much contact given All Might was generally a solo hero, outside of that one sidekick he had some time back. *What was his name? Nightstrike? No, Nightlight? Even further—* They pull himself out of their thoughts as the other continues.
He hesitates to shake the other’s hand, not exactly one for physical forms of greetings given what touch had meant in the past. Soren’s own hand clasps All Might’s despite the flickering worry in their chest. It was fine, just a small shake. “Pleasure to meet you as well, sir, though you don’t have to credit me if I ever assist. I don’t exactly care for publicity.”
They gently pull his hand away after giving the other’s a firm shake, the anxiety in his chest fading.
Shoto had been keeping his existence to avoid from crossing paths with Endeavour since the man would easily take an interest in him especially if both sides of his quirk was revealed. It was the reason why he had been sticking to using his ice only despite struggling with the chill that could affect him sometimes when he didn’t use his flames to help balance his quirk out. He wasn’t going to make it that easy for the authorities to locate him which is why he tended to flee the area before any heroes or anyone else could come across him. It was the reason why he was trying to flee from that abandoned building when Soren came across him in the first place. He could use his ice, melt the wall and flee before backup was going to come even if it meant that Soren wouldn’t be able to locate him afterwards. It was the only way to avoid from crossing paths with the rest of the heroes.
“Thanks.” Mismatched eyes briefly glanced from underneath his hat focusing on the villain who was in front of them. He had yet to reveal his face to him, only giving his name as a vigilante and the one side of his quirk. “I’ll be careful.” Once Soren approached the villain, he moved to the side that he was going to attack to spread his ice across the ground. He placed his left hand against the wall he created to melt it away as if it never existed in the first place.
He simply froze their feet into place that would give the advantage that Soren needed before focusing on melting the ice wall and trail he had created to trap the villain in the first place. Once the wall was gone though, Shoto would leave as if he was never here in the first place. He might hide among the crowd or even travel to the next block as if he never had been there in the first place. It would be up to Soren to deal with the rest afterwards.
The villain was quick to realize the two were trying to sandwich them to stop them. They try to move away and behind cover but the ice that shoots up their legs traps them too fast. The villain shouts a curse, trying to use their quirk to get away before either opponent could get too close.
Soren saw the other get frozen and immediately ran towards them. Now was his chance to end this chaos before anyone got seriously hurt. They run forwards, hand sparking. The villain attempts to run a piece of rebar through him to stop them but he dodges. Their hand plants between the villain’s shoulder blades, sending a strong enough shock to knock them unconscious without killing them.
He quickly catches the villain before they can fall and hurt themselves, frowning softly. They let out a relieved sigh at the sight of the unconscious villain in his arms, looking towards where Spectre was. They give a soft nod of thanks before motioning for the other to run before more heroes showed up. Meanwhile he focuses on the ice, using the heat from their lightning to melt the ice at the villain’s legs. Once free, Soren cuffs the villain and sits them against some nearby debris.
