Eisuke: He considered himself an impatient person when it came to his coffee. Which was why he always preferred to have someone on his staff make it. They were always at his beck and call, and didn’t have to cater to any other customers. But this small establishment never failed to surprise him. It was the peak of the morning rush hour, and the place was rather crowded, with a line of about fifteen people behind him, all waiting for their morning coffee. He had a meeting with a potential client in ten minutes and wondered if the barista knew of the challenge he had put her through today. But after a mere minute since he took his order, his coffee was placed before him, with his name and a smiley face next to it. He smirked as he takes a sip from the pleasant drink, and in record time too.

Soryu: He would try get it after the morning rush subsided, when there would be less people. Fewer people meant he wouldn’t have to worry if anyone would be “scared” of him. Normally, he would ask Inui to do it, but today he had other plans for Inui beside being his errand boy. He order was quite straightforward-always black, and he hoped the barista wasn’t the kind to engage in small talk with her customers. Thankfully, she just kindly offered him a seat while he waits. The setup was quite modern, with a lot of windows to create an open, inviting atmosphere. There was also some humorous coffee related decorations on the wall that caught his eye. But before he knew it, his coffee was done, and as he drank he also realized he was glad no one noticed him today. He wouldn’t want to subsequently ruin this coffee shop’s reputation-they made quality coffee.

Baba: He’s a frequent customer, but every time he’s there he usually brings a different woman under his arm, and usually for a lunch date. He always treats the woman, and always liked to switch up his order to try all of the fun, new drinks that they had in store. This time milkshakes were the newest item in the shop, and he was quick to order a large strawberry one for him and his girl to share, along with a chocolate croissant as a treat. But by the end of the hour, he might have been a little too friendly with another customer, and the woman he came with slapped him and poured the rest of the drink on him before storming off. Oh well, at least now he had the opportunity to have a lovely chat with the barista, as she helped him clean up.

Ota: A small mom and pop coffee shop was just what he was looking for. After spending the whole day at an art event and meeting fans, it would be a good to find somewhere discreet to get nice drink, it would be a smooth in and out. But at the sound of the bell hanging on the top of the door, two of the customers that were already seated sprang up, and rushed over to greet him. Oh great, more fans. He put on his angelic smile as usual, and tried to make this unexpected meet and greet and short as possible. But they didn’t seem to get the hint. He just wanted to get his coffee and get out of here. Just then, the barista interrupted them and asked him if he wanted to order anything. He gladly gave his order and saw a knowing look on the barista’s face when she handed him the drink. From that day onward he made it his mission to go back and get to know the girl behind knowing smile.

Mamoru: It was the only place that was open around this time, and after tossing and turning all night long, he decided to give up on the idea that he was going to sleep and get some coffee. The place looked pretty cozy, with cushioned chairs and soft music playing in the background-they even had a sofa. Once he got his coffee he decided to plop down on sofa and was pleasantly surprised at how soft it was. If his brain wasn’t buzzed with caffeine, he might have even dozed off. But instead he relaxed himself and listened to the music selection that was playing. It almost made him feel nostalgic, like home. Or maybe it was his mind playing tricks on him. He left before he could make the barista feel more awkward, but decided that he would have to go back some other time-when his brain wasn’t as jumbled and sleep-deprived.

MC: The poor barista working long hours and has to deal with some weird customers during the day...

After reading a lot of headcannons/AUs/drabbles from other people, I thought it would be fun to try this out for myself. I know Coffe Shop AU is probably not the most original scenario, but it seemed like a basic enough idea to start off with. Plus, this was still a lot of fun to write. Sorry not all of the characters from KBTBB are in here, I kind of just rentered the fandom, and now realize that I have a lot of catching up to do. Σ(ﾟДﾟ；

I’m also not sure if I accurately protrayed everyone, so please feel free to correct me; I am open to any constructive criticisms or suggestions!

Oh gosh… I have so many honestly. But, I will try my best to compose a list here for you! I also will most likely miss a bunch (but I will check my following list). These are all voltage related, my friend. I have followed most of them before I ever started my own blog (in fact, I read these blogs for a long time) and some I’ve fallen in love with as I wrote. Also, I used my personal blog for most of them!

So, I’m basically listing every person I follow because of their content and that they’re wonderful people. And yes, I did add commentary to every person. Yes I am a creep, I know exactly everything about their pages at all times BC I LOVE THEM AND AM A STALKER K.

Again, some are not active in writing anymore! But their blog is still something to check out! :3 Please take my list with a grain of salt, as I am 10000% positive there are other quality blogs that I have yet to encounter! But these are definitely my follower forever and ever.

The other half of the class were told, “you can make only one pot”. But that pot had to be perfect. The quality had to be high; the highest quality pot would get the best mark.

But when it came to the grading, they noticed something weird.

All the best quality pots were in the ‘quantity’ group.

The guys who were literally churning out pots, trying to make as many as possible, not concentrating on the quality. But every pot they made, made them better at making pots. By the end of the month (I think it was a month) - they had some pretty awesome pots coming out, because they enjoying finding all the ways and all the things they could do to make all their pots. Where as the ‘quality’ guys had spent their time reading up on pots, and technique, and researching and planning; which was all great but they’d had no further practice at actually making pots.

The best way to get really good at something, the only way to be really good at something, is to make lots of shitty attempts at that thing several of which will fail. If all you create are perfect things then you won’t improve, because how can you improve on perfect?

the screenshots here are from near the end of the interview, which i think makes it even worse, because the interviewer listened to everything he’d said and still didn’t treat it very seriously. there are other parts where she seems very smart and intuitive, but then other times he’d say something like “i hate myself to death and feel like i’m an empty shell” and she’d just laugh and move on while i’m just like !!!

i was really impressed by how open he is about it though, even the “ugly” symptoms that aren’t really talked about normally — like how he said he used to lock himself in his apartment alone and drink and “bang on the walls” because he didn’t know how else to cope with all the pain he was in, and he even mentions hurting himself and talks about scars and refers to himself as a “masochist” and says a coworker once referred to him as “someone constantly trying to hurt himself.” the fact that he was able to talk about all this so openly, despite the reaction he got, was so impressive and amazing to me

speakng of raising awareness: the movie he’s being interviewed for here is “silenced”, a film he initiated production of. it’s based on real events that happened at a school for deaf children, where kids were sexually abused for years by their teachers. of the six rapists, two received prison sentences (and were out within a year), while the others were freed immediately because the statute of limitations had expired - and all were reinstated at the school

gong yoo read about this a few years later and said to himself “what can i as an actor do to help,” and he made a movie about it. millions of people saw it and there was mass public outrage, and because of this movie the case was reopened, the school was shut down, the rapists got much harsher punishments, and a law named after the movie was passed that abolished the statute of limitations for all sex crimes against minors and disabled people

when they were making the movie, gong yoo was convinced by the director he’d found to star as a teacher who tries to help the victims, but at first he was hesitant (because before this he’d only been in romcoms and he thought he lacked the acting ability to pull off the emotional depth required for this subject) but he eventually agreed because he wanted to use his fame to bring attention to the events
