Those gameoverse women are not attractive to me in the slightest. And I don't expect or need to find them sexually appealing, but the show clearly wants me to. Im sorry, but giving an exaggerated hourglass figure to characters that look like they're from spongebob doesn't exactly turn me on.
It wants to be "omg so heckin horny and irreverent," but it has the maturity of a Disney XD cartoon. It wants to be adult and sexy and mature and dark but it never wants to really go there because deep down it's a cartoon for redditors and teenagers so they can sell merchandise. Above all else it's a palatable series, never too challenging for general audiences.
The "sex appeal" is a cry for attention. The bondage and crop tops are cynical attempts to make you screenshot it and go AWOOOGA on Twitter to get the upvotes. Now, I don't care if there's elements of sex or an appeal to what you find attractive (im a dandadan fan afterall) but I guess this just feels pathetic to me. I know who the game grumps are. 2 edgy white boys who never grew up. We dont need to discourse about if the character designs are sexist. Just watch about any game grumps video and their thoughts on women and brown people are very apparent. This is common knowledge. It has been for years. This show is funko pop trash that will collaborate with fortnite one day.
