Had a discussion with some friends a while back about the olβ βreplace everyone but one actor with muppetsβ idea.
So someone suggests Full Metal Jacket, keeping R Lee Ermy (the drill sergeant). And I said no no no.
Keep Vincent Dβonofrio.
For those of you who havenβt seen it, spoilers for a 36 year old movie!
Full Metal Jacket is essentially two related short films sharing a few characters, glued together in the middle. The first half of the movie follows US Marine draftees as they go through basic training. The second half follows a couple of those guys as they take sniper fire in Vietnam.
Vincent Dβonofrio only appears in the first half. His character, βPrivate Gomer Pyleβ (a derisive nickname applied by the drill sergeant) is the subject of tons of abuse at the hands of said drill sergeant, and, eventually, his fellow draftees.
And at the end of the segment, he has a nervous breakdown, takes a rifle into the bathroom, and when confronted by the drill sergeant, blows him away, then kills himself.
So replacing Dβonfrio has 3 main effects here.
1. You get to see private Pyle subject to increasingly brutal psychological and physical abuse, by muppets.
2. You get to see Private Pyle go nuts and kill, in a fit of insanity, a muppet.
3. The entire back half of the film, which is less remembered in pop culture but still a fucking brutal and harrowing story in its own right, is re-enacted entirely by muppets.
Honestly, I donβt think anything in cinema could top that. I think it would make Citizen Kane look like The Room. I need this. I deserve it.

Not sure if this one's been done yet, but after doing a bit of digging, I found an original, full-size version of Angus Mcbride's art of Saruman and his orb, aka "Pondering My Orb" meme. (Yes, this is actually Saruman.) Unfortunately, I could not find the original title, if there ever was one.
After comparing a couple others, this was the best version I could find in high quality.
Now you, too, can ponder Saruman's orb in full, high-quality wizardry.
Enjoy!

For those who don't know: Ikumi Nakamura is the woman who was senior artist on Bayonetta, and designed the titular character along with Hideki Kamiya. Their greatest moment of bonding was over their insistence that Bayonetta keep her glasses on at all times. Nakamura cannot go to horny jail. She is the warden.
Happy pride month to her and her exclusively
she made a comic about the experience on twitter
