Narancia was now a part of the gang, under Buccelatti’s leadership, just what they were aiming for. The test was a breeze with the lighter permanently standing upright, lit underneath glass, and luckily already with a stand before a small skirmish. Only a couple of hours had been left before the handover, the stand in shadow was more annoying than recent days spent on the streets waiting for a new home and static lifestyle. 

Standing there in front of the one held in the highest regard for noticing a dying teen and helped when no one else would. He was also the one that told him what to do, and because of that, they would always be thankful. The first smile in years broke out, nothing forced or faked -- just a natural smile, “Thank you, you’ve yet to tell me -- what is your name? It’ll be very helpful since we’ll be working together from now on, my name is Narancia Ghirga.” 

Faith held every bit of importance in all aspects of life when knowing it since the start of memories. Ghosts, an afterlife, and the supernatural were all unquestioned, and exactly why for a short time living in the material world was shirked like it meant nothing. Eyes shifted as the new surroundings filled Narancia’s vision. This was the first time since coming to Moroih with Serina that anything like this existed with a sudden appearance. It was strange, to say the least, to only have one other person in the vicinity of this area. A girl that looked their age colored only in pink, even down her hair and eyes, she had to know something!

A sigh left their lips, arms moving to rest hands against the back of the head. It felt like forever since the last time they had seen each other, so that change only left them wondering what it was on her end that was the cause. Either way, Narancia was glad to see Kimiko again.

Some horrors could never be covered in the sheer terror they brought, and despite being a victim to his fair share of them, this went a step further. The packages they got that came with the worst reality just felt like it happened yesterday. The murder and death of two people that were regarded as a family were just gone now. Cruelly cut into pieces while still alive, and the other one watched it happen. The message clear as day to not reach so high or receive the same fate, but it couldn’t be forgotten even if Risotto told them all to move on.  

Sorbet’s body was returned to a more natural state, stitched back together once the formalin was removed for a proper funeral and burial. It might not have been much, but it was more than good enough that they were laid to rest at all. In the church, the remaining nine sat in the pews to pay their respects before one by one they left until there were only three left before watching Hermes go. Time dragged on slowly and felt like it had been hours and hours simultaneously with the silence that fell between the boy on the cusp of fifteen and the twenty-five year old. 

Narancia’s head turned upward, looking at his leader who appeared as calm as anyone could expect out of a man, so level headed. A curious mind was left to wonder just what was going through his head when returning to looking ahead. Was he earnest on telling them to forget it when he remained here long after the rest, it was nothing short of confusing with the contradiction between words and action. All Narancia knew was that it was hard to stay calm about this despite his usual behavior akin to his boss from what could be read. 

Narancia could be covered in wounds to a detrimental case and behave like everything is normal from that numbness. It is rare for the opposite to occur with that in mind, only a thing due to hypersensitivity and overload. All acts of standing his ground in fights are explained mostly by this, sheer determination and drive to protect and win take a back seat in the end as they remain a small percentage for Narancia’s reality.
