The 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), commonly known as the "Boneyard," has a rich history deeply intertwined with the development of military aviation in the United States. Established in 1946 at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, AMARG has played a vital role in the storage, maintenance, and eventual disposition of thousands of military aircraft.
