"You Look So Cool"

So 2016 was one of the worst years. I found out the guy I was still in love with lead me on for months, hoping that we can start again but turned out that he’s engaged since October. I was cheated on my birthday. I lost a lot of trust in people as I was lied to and treated like an idiot.

But 2016 also showed me something. Family will always be there for me. Friends come and go but the ones that love you stay no matter what happens in your life. And it also showed me that I shouldn’t chase people who don’t give a damn about me.

This year, I’m going to be 21. And 2017 will be the year that is mine. Being me. Finding out more about myself. Trying new things. Accepting myself. If love comes my way, I won’t rush into it or force anything to happen, I will simply let it take its course and see what happens.
