Ava once again awoke with the blood of a stranger staining her small lips. The smell and taste was disgustingly familiar to her. She sat up, partially slumped against the wall as she began to hyperventilate, looking down at her shaking blood stained fingers as she began to sob. Only this time, something was different. Izzy was fighting to take over her body again. Ava’s second personality was quite stronger than her and even as Ava tried hard to keep her away, she found it difficult and she grunted in pain. Yes. It took a lot out of her just trying to contain Izzy. Ava suddenly noticed movement and glanced up, seeing someone familiar before grunting in between her words. 

“I- swear it wa– wasn’t me. It’s Izzy.. P…please get out of here.. sh- ah! She’s too strong to keep in..”

The Fate hadn’t even suspected to find the young woman on the floor of his apartment, especially not covered in blood. Then again why would he have been expecting it, he had only just returned to the residence he kept on the surface, granting himself a break from the underworld. Atropos closed the door behind him, brow still furrowed as he looked closer at the bloodstained woman, finally realizing who she was. “Ava?” he called out gently, starting to bend his tall frame down as he got closer to her. He knew the young fox, met her several times before today, and had somehow found a small soft spot for the quiet girl, maybe even an attraction to her. And technically he knew the woman she spoke of as well. He’d heard bits and pieces of the story from Ava and there was one time he was sure he had talked to her alter, if only for a brief second.

“I’m certain. I pay too much attention to your pretty face to be seeing things.” The warlock chuckles some, shoulders raising in a bit of a shrug before he’s stretching out his legs and exhales a little sigh. The approaching exit makes him wrinkle his nose – normally the exit meant he was to go home, and that he’d have to say goodbye the ferryman. Humming a little bit, he stands again, adjusting himself and his cloak before looking up to Charon when he agrees to the idea. Eyes widen a little, and a smile slowly stretches over his lips. “Really really? Ahhh, come on! It’s sleepover time.”

“Well, it seems I’ve been at least a little bit successful.” He hums, stepping a little closer to the other, a little smile curved over his lips as he reaches his hands up to cup the other’s cheeks, before giving them a playful little squish. Chuckling to himself, he then drops his hands to his sides again, before moving to sit himself down on the little bench-like plank. “Mmn, really?” He lights up a little at that, always pleased to know when he made people happy, regardless whether it was outwardly shown or not. “Hey… you know… if you aren’t on duty tonight, you should spend the night with me. We can order pizza and hang out a little maybe?”

“Mmn, probably. I’d assume that’s probably part of it, at least.” He shrugs a little, before exhaling a little laugh as he reaches a hand up to brush back some of his hair. “I know. I’m trying, I promise. Soon, hopefully, you won’t need to worry about having to pick me up at all. I’ll be able to pop in and bother you and leave all of my own will.” He nods gently, before grinning bright, a little bubbly burst of laughter leaving his lips. “Lighten up, buttercup, I’m only joking. I’m always curious what’ll get a rise out of you.”

Ephram hums a little, bright eyes taking in the sight around them for a brief moment before he’s exhaling a little bit of a chuckle, looking back to the ferryman and giving a little nod. “I look forward to the day when I don’t get myself stuck down here, really. The warding on the underworld is so powerful though that it’s extremely difficult to bypass…” He sighs a little, before giving his head a shake, returning his gaze to Charon in time to catch what looked to be amusement. Grinning some, his eyes light up, and he coos a little. “Oh my, you know– if I’m not mistaken, I think you like me, Charon~ You even smiled a little for me!”
