“Uh…good question,” said Hannah grabbing a plate and putting the cookies on it. “I’m fine with either. Which do you prefer?” She handed him the plate.

“I think,” he mumbled, behind her and sliding his arms around her waist, kissing her shoulder, “movie night tonight, and Christmas tomorrow.” 

“Here you go,” said Jess, plopping the coffee down in front of him. “And the special is clam chowder.”

“Well that sounds more depressing than ever. Anything else cooking up?” 

“Sorry dude, didnt mean to.” Erick said. He turned and looked back at the man and rose his eyebrow. “Do we have a problem?” 

Kasper furrowed his eyebrows, looking over the guy. “Do I know you?” 

“Nice to see run into you outside the hospital.” He laughed, nodding to the other man and hoping he recognized him.

“That’s what pre-season is for, getting rid of all the injury chances. Now the season is kicking off, you won’t see me again,” Kasper grinned, nodding. “Uh, Brian, was it?” 

“Yeah, I just finished it. You really do have perfect timing, Kasper Whitegate.” Hannah smiled and squeezed his hand. “Do you want some eggnog? I also have some gingerbread cookies.” 

“You American’s and your Eggnog,” he mumbled, shaking his head. “Eggnog, no. Cookies, yes please,” Kasper replied, his childlike voice coming through at the idea of treats. “Are we celebrating tonight, or tomorrow?” 

Hannah hummed as she finished putting the finishing touches on her Christmas tree. She put the last ornament in place and took a step back to admire her handy work when she heard someone knocking on the door. She hurried to answer it. “Hey!” Hannah smiled when she saw who it was.

“Look at that face,” Kasper smirked, leaning in and stealing a kiss as he walked inside, grabbing her hand and pulling her with him. “Hey, you got the tree done,” he chuckled, knowing from her texts today she was pretty busy doing it. “You’ve definitely done better than I thought.”

Hannah just nodded and sank down onto a nearby chair. She tried to think of something else to say, but nothing came to mind so she just kept quiet. She ran a hand through her hair, sighing.

He frowned and walked over, holding her drink out to her and sitting beside her, his hand going to her thigh. “Babe, look at me,” he mumbled, bringing his other hand to her face when she did so. “You’re nothing like her. You’re fun, enthusiastic, such a better Quidditch player,” he smirked softly, “Heather isn’t you. And if those guys can’t separate you guys based on the identical looks, then that’s their loss, not yours.” 

“If you think I’m not going to go sledding at least a dozen times, you are so wrong.”

“Just be careful,” he warned her, more so as a team mate than a boyfriend. “You’re not allowed to get injuried mid-season.” 

Hannah fiddled with her food, sighing unhappily. She didn’t really feel like eating. Distracted with her thoughts, she didn’t notice Kasper come into the diner.

Kasper, fresh from a run, asked for a coffee to go before spotting Hannah in the corner. He frowned, noticing her playing with her food and changed his order to stay in, heading over once he’d received it and paid. “Hey baby girl,” he chimed, leaning in and kissing the top of her head before sitting across from her. “You full already?” he asked, hoping she was just overfed and not unhappy.
