Idk what it is but something just hits about gay ships that aren’t ‘official’ and will never be official but you can clearly see the yearning and longing in their eyes, and how all their interactions are just a little bit desperate, a hug that last a little too long, a shoulder squeeze that's a bit too tight, the smile thats just a bit brittle. The first person on their mind when they wake up, and the last person on their mind when they fall asleep, and in an alternate universe, a kinder universe, a softer universe, they’d undoubtedly be together, but in this universe, this one right here, they’ll never be anything more than just friends.

And then people forget this as soon as they have kids
