yoichi covered his mouth and coughed, trying to hide his laugh. you were in the same state, pressing your lips in a thin line. then you exhale. and like a good mother, you reason.
"kaito, your nee-san is right. in maths, they need steps. they don't want direct answers. they need to see your thought process and how you got the answer."
"that's mean!"
"i know buddy," yoichi ruffles kaito's hair, "but guess what? we got the best mathlete to help you out. none other than your sister. you don't wanna argue with her. just listen. she's older, smarterβsmarter than me evenβ...just...just hear her out. for math grade's sake," he reasons.

one. it all starts with merry go round. the papas already embarrassed themselves by sitting on the moving horses with the kiddos. yes, the elderly women did snicker about them being adorable.
but yes, it was fine. merry go round? sae can handle embarrassment and slow spinning. sae can also handle taking goofy pictures. and the balloon shooting game. but then came what challenged sae a little.
two. bumper cars.
souta and shouma obviously sat together. rin sat with sakura, and sae with natsuki.

the twins already bumped into sae's car. with shouma calculating how exactly souta should drive and attack. sakura also drove into them, sandwiching them, "gotcha uncle sae!" sakura cheered.
"you're too slow, niichan," rin says arrogantly with a straight face.
"watch papa!" natsuki zooms and takes a turn, bumping into team sakura, "HAHA! WE GOT THEM!"
the round ended with souta and shouma winning. the papas weren't aware if there's winners or losers. whatever helps the kids to sleep at night.
three. "WATER COASTER! WATER COASTER!" souta and sakura cheer.
so water coaster it is.
it was simple. the slides goes down, splashing the water and at the same time, a picture is taken. souta and shouma sat infront. sakura and natsu in the middle. their papas in the back.
the slide goes whoosh! and rin swore he heard sae gasp.

so naturally, to prove rin wrong, sae got on his seat, right beside rin, double checking everything.
the first jerk forward already had sae's eyes going wide. the ride climbs climbs climbs. andβ
"WOOOOOOOOO!!" the twins yell with their hands up. the girls also yell out, half out of horror and half out of excitement. papa rin nonchalant as ever.
and sae.
sae grabs rins arm tightly.

he exhaled deeply, trying to calm himself before getting off, walking slowly yet carefully so that no one notices his wobbly legs. and rin flips his hair, pushing it back as he looks at his niichan. niichan looks back, "watch it," niichan warns again.
sae's head was spinning. and yet he got on
five. the ferris wheel.
it's calm. very calm.
the twins had their faces pressed against the glass as they looked down, pointing at this and that. natsuki was sleepy, sakura enjoying the view while eating cotton candy. sae had his leg bouncing and rin for once looked concerned for his niichan.
"papa..." natsuki mumbles sleepily, leaning against sae, "i enjoyed a lot...'m happy..." maybe it wasnt as bad then. if natsu's happy, everything is worth it.
the ride comes to a stop. sae carries natsuki who had fallen asleep. sakura walked beside rin while rin yells at the twins to not run.
"rin..." sae calls, his face green as his eyes now.
the younger looks at his niichan in worry, "niichan...?"
sae immediately makes rin hold natsuki and turns the other way and throws up. vomit vomit vomit.
everyone's eyes windens.
sakura pats her uncle on the back.
and sae.
he wonders where that damn hammer is to break the fourth fucking wall again.

you're staring at the sky as the sun sets, looking like it's going to drown in the sea. yoichi sits beside you on the sand, offering a can of whatever drink you like.
"why aren't you trying?" you ask without looking at him, "why aren't you trying to change my mind?"
he looks at you, but he stays silent.
"everyone told me im wrong. everyone told me to give it a chance. why haven't you?"
"y/n," he gently calls, making you look at him, "i don't know what happened in your past. and it's not my place to tell you you're wrong or try to change you."
you both keep looking at each other, till shyness gets you and both look away.
"but..." yoichi starts, "i won't leave until you tell me to."
and till then, he's gonna waste his time on something you dont believe for a long time.

it was evening when you're just chopping chocolate into thin pieces to make hot choco. you almost predicted that he's gonna come to you after that match.
you opened the door to see him. the rain had started and you knew cause of how pathetic he looked at your door.
you step aside to let him in. you let him take a shower, and offer him his clean warm clothes that stayed at your place from the previous encounters.
you place a cup of hot chocolate down on the table for him.
"...did you watch the match?" he asks, looking up at you. you nod and his eyes show you how damn guilty he looked, "sorry for making you watch that shit. so fucking pathetic i am."

"not that i'm only wasting my time, im wasting yours too," he says and you're not sure if he's still talking about soccer, "pretty pathetic for a guy like me. ego so big yet fragile."
you stay quiet. hands not leaving his. eyes not leaving his blue ones.
"...you're never gonna give me the answer i want. that right, angel?" he asks so casually. your heart aches and maybe even softens up for him, and you know it does cause you're the one who leans in to kiss him. his palm cups your cheek in the most gentle way.
"angel," he pulls back just a bit, his breath brushing your lips, "if this...this is wasting time, then im right where i want to be."
"papa hold still," yuki scolds, making you chuckle as her papa sheepishly says 'sorry.'
he waited patiently as yuki applies obnoxious amount of blush on his face while you record the whole process.
for a final touch, she picks up the brown eyeliner, tapping so many spots on his nose as cheeks as freckles.
"done!" she cheered.
then it was yoichi's time to put makeup on her, and sadly, he was very poor at it but you were there to guide and even if he messes up, yuki wouldn't mind one bit.
"there you go," yoichi leans back to look at her, "my princess."
"ok, one...two...three!" you click the picture of both of them smiling ear to ear and yoichi didn't mind you posting it on your socials.
little anne was literally crying because her ma said that she couldn't get a red liner tattoo like her papa so obviously, her papa had to improvise somehow.
michael took anne's paintbrush, dipped it in water and the red colour as he applied it under her eyes.

she reaches out, her little fingers gently pinching the corners of your mouth, tugging upwards to force you to have a damn expression on your face, "smile~~~" she beams with a wide toothy smile of her own.
michael and yoichi watch in horror.

"SMILE~~~~" but as soon as her hands left your face, you go blank again. nothingness on your face.
"miss angel..." she calls, disappointed, "do you hate me?"
"i dont hate," you hesitantly reach out, patting her head, "nor do i love."
quiet.
"it's ok," she hugs you, "i'll love you. for the both of us."

a word michael didn't really liked but craved desperately.
it was almost like rose was waiting for this moment.
as much as she hated the idea of non-platonic love, she stole two of yoichi's heart shaped bows when he wasn't looking. she wasn't proud. but she wasn't sorry either.
at the shadows of your place. you looked peaceful while you slept. but to her? she was greedy, wanting to get you to show more of your emotions.
"im sorry," she whispers, pressing the arrow against your chest as it melts into you, "i just want you to feel..." she kisses your cheek, cuddling you to sleep.
"michael~~~" she called as she sees him laying on a cloud, hiding the arrow behind her back.
"what's up, little thorn?"
she grins, telling him to close his eyes and making him promise that he won't look or laugh. he raises an eyebrow but doesn't question more as his eyes flutter shut.
rose tried. she gently pressed the arrow on his chest. but it didn't melt into him like it did on you. she tried again and again.
"what are you doing," he chuckles, opening his eyes, "where'd you get that from?"
"...stole it."
michael bonks her head.
"owwwww! why didn't it work for you?"
"because kiddo, my heart already belongs to someone."
"rose...want did you do?" yoichi asks sternly as he held you while you sank to your knees, clutching to where your heart is, "rose," she flinches at yoichi's tone, "what did you do?"
"...i-i just wanted y/n to feel..." tears already started to stream down her face, "i-im...sorry..." she hiccups.
"hurts..." your eyes shut close tightly, "it hurts..."
"y/n..." you didn't look when you hear michael's voice calling you, "what happened..."
"im sorry," rose's voice cracked, "i didn't know that would happen."
michael rushed to your side, holding you, "yoichi, whatβwhat do we do?"
"i can try...i don't know if it'll work or not..."
"michael..." your eyes open gently, "rose...where's rose?"
michael holds your hand, "she..." he sighs, words not forming.
"one moment she was here," yoichi enters, his voice hinted panic, "and the other..."
you clutched your chest. the ache in your heart was gone. you didn't feel anything. it was back to blank.
"yoichi..." you call, "find her..."
"im trying, but she's not letting me. she's hiding."
"michael," you look at him, holding his hand, squeezing it tight, "you can feel her, right?"
he paused, "...yeah...i feel her..."
there she was, leaning against a gravestone, hugging her legs as she cried.
"rose..." michael exhaled as he ran towards her, pulling her closer into his chest as she trembled, fists grabbing onto his shirt.
but at the same moment. michael hears them. voices. cries. not the scary kind. not to him. he looks around, he sees them. souls. hiding.
"im sorry...! i didn't mean to hurt y/n...! i just wanted her to smile and to love me back...!"
"she already does, silly."
"i already do."
rose pulls away from michael as she hears your voice, "y/n...!" she almost trips, as she runs to you. you crouch to her level, catching her in your arms, "i only wished to see you smile!"
"wish came true, you wish fairy."
rose pulls back enough to look at you.
a soft, small, but genuine smile on your face.
rose cries again but full of happiness, hugging you tight.
michael looked at yoichi. a silent look that said you're seeing this? to which yoichi just nods with a smile of his own.
michael almost melts as he looks at you, "fuck, she's cute."
then you all look up to see a voice cut through the silence.
"man, the clouds didn't listen to me this time."
tabito.
the guy who had personal beef with the storm. or rather a love and hate relationship with it.
"tabito!!" rose beams, running up to him.
"hey kiddo!" he scoops her into his arms, "i ain't a teddy bear," he gently places her down, patting her head.
michael sees it again. the voices. the cries again, "i feel them..." he closes his eyes. and when he opens them to see. they're not hiding anymore. they're not scary. and this time, you all could see them.
"do you get it?" tabito chuckles, "they're your responsibility, michael. the lost unloved souls."
"you really have all the answers, don't you?" yoichi nudges tabito.
"i also have another answer," tabito continues, looking at michael, "well, you know rose is rose."
"because...?" michael waited.
"she's your sister."
michael went silent. then a laugh escaped his lips, "i...ive a sister...." he smiles so wide, rose's grin mirroring his as he picks her up, spinning her around in his arms, "ive a baby sister...!" he places a loud mwah on her cheek, "i love you, rose!"
"i love you too!" she giggles, "but there's someone else who you need to say that to."
michael's grin softens. he places rose down as he steps towards you, cupping your face, and you smile. yes, you do when he confesses.
the two of you meet in the middle, his lips pressed on yours.
yoichi, tho a cupid, fakes a gag as if that kiss grossed him out.
tabito smirks, "about damn time."
and rose jumps, her arms in the air, "i love LOVE."
