How you feeling about the team and the rehab ahead for Viv and Beth?

i mean in all honesty i don’t know much about rehab for athletes but they look happy and they’re hobbling along so i’m excited to see them slowly make their way back 🥹

as for the team, obviously i love my team and my club no matter what, but something is not quite right with the mentality. i can take losing games and being outplayed because it happens in football, but i cannot stand when the players just look lethargic and unbothered. we all know about our striker issue but until we sort out our underlying issues with having only one reliable defence formation we’re not going to be winning anything

on a more positive note though, im still over the moon at seeing vic in an arsenal shirt 🫶🏻

let me say something about grant and women’s sports that I don’t think many people know. he traveled to spain earlier this year to interview barca’s women’s team. he got long and very productive quotes from the team’s best players. he could’ve stopped there, he already had the story. but no, he stayed, he interviewed pretty much every single player there. and then he transcribed/asked the for translation of every single interview, even though he already knew he wasn’t gonna use some parts.

wanna know why? because he said they took the time to talk to him even if they didn’t have to, so the least he could do was to return the favor and go through every single thing they said. that’s respect. both to the women he interviewed and the profession.

in a world of glorified bloggers and people who rush to post breaking news on social media, he took the time to write actual stories with real sources. he took the time and actually invested in women’s football. he focused on everything and everyone, not just the stars. he treated everyone with the respect they so rightfully deserved.
