I am more than okay with shipping, if of course weβre both on the same page about it. One-sided crushes can happen, both from your character and mine, but if the feelings are unrequited I will not push you for a relationship nor should you expect yourself to do the same towards me.

With a gulp, Fresa lowers her head, closes a fist.
She would've loved to even just throw a punch, but she just landed her hand gently on the other's shoulder.
"Fine. Whatever. Leave, then.
But if you're going to keep Koro with me, y-you better return and get it! Okay?!"
A beat of her own. A sob, maybe.
" I'm not your damn babysitter."
SHE HAS TO LEAVE; it's not something she wants, nor something she wished for. but this last year, she knew from the second the clock struck midnight that she had to go. SHE STALLED, she hadn't liked that realization, the last thing cereza wanted was to see her best friends, JUST LIKE THIS.
gently, she steps closer. there's a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye, tears filling her hues as she takes her into her arms. first softly; THEN HOLDING ON FOR DEAR LIFE.

her reason to go back to kalos resides solely in trying to fix her mental health after the events of the crater, and as of now, staying in paldea simply isn't an option for her.

A beat.
Joking feels wrong.
"If-- if there's something wrong I can try and help-
β it's not ... ! β IT'S NOT HER FAULT. it's not frambuesa's fault. nor was it arven's, or penny's, or nemona's. it wasn't her father either, yet she was doing this to him. SHE WAS LEAVING HIM AGAIN. him, and everyone behind.
cereza steps closer. β you are ONE OF THE ONLY PEOPLE that has made these past few years of my life TOLERABLE. i don't know what i would be without you. β yet, she does. she knows she wouldn't be here.

She's taking her good amount of seconds to talk, looking at Reza's eyes for answers she can't find by staying silent.

Daring to try and chuckle.
"Heck no I'm not keeping him. He's yours! He'd be super upset if you left him with me?"
cereza shakes her head. β no. β voice quiet, SOFT. the same way someone would hand expensive crystalware, AFRAID IT WOULD BREAK. β no, freβ it has to be you. β
β i won't be here, notβ not for a WHILE. i can't give him to arven, and i can't give him to dadβ YOU KNOW THE SPECIES. β she knows about what happened. she held her while she was bleeding, barely conscious, KEPT HER AWAKE long enough to give her commands; FRESA HAD FOUGHT HARDER THAN SHE HAD.
SHE'S PACKING HER BAGS. folding clothes one after the other, putting them neatly into a bag. the train only leaves tomorrow morning, she knows, and she hasn't had the heart to tell anybody but her father and her close friends.
SHE'S BEEN BROKEN FOR YEARS, AND HAS NOTHING TO SHOW FOR THE TIME. it came to a point where she doesn't know if she can be fixed, if there is anything that will pull her back from the COLD, DARK CRATER she lost herself in. there are no good grades, no special outings, no shopping sprees that can seem to pull her out: somehow, SHE FINDS HERSELF BACK THERE.
the luggage closes with a soft click, and she looks around her room, BARELY BARREN. the posters are still on the wall but her make-up is all gone, the stickers ornating her bed frame is still there, but half her clothes have been put away.

but drayton and her go way back, to the point that the two never needed proper introductions. they'd RUN TOGETHER while their fathers had their backs turned, into whatever perfect makeshift HIDING SPOT drayton had for the week, and they'd lay there together. even now, she thinks part of her carefree attitude, despite the pressure she constantly puts on herself, solely exists THANKS TO DRAYTON.
β ... β she hesitates, looking around the empty room, as if to make sure that they were really, truly ALL ALONE. then wordlessly, cereza takes off her beanie.
I'M NOT SUPER FOND OF HATS, she had said once to him as children, perusing through a fashion magazine; that testament held true even now as she drags it off her like a weight, before balling it into her palm. it's faint but it's there, a LARGE, TERRIBLE GASH on her scalp, edges barely hidden by her raspberry hair. something that'll never truly heal.
β something happened, β her voice shakes again, more, and she holds her own arm for comfort, and cereza diverts her eyes. β βwhile i was in PALDEA. and although theβ PAIN isn't there anymoreβ and i'm not saying this because of the TRAUMA, or well, not JUST because of it, but, β simply due to the nature of the injury itself,
the silence that follows is PAINFULLY AWKWARD; even cereza cringes slightly at it, frown pleated just a bit more.
what is maybe worse is the SLIGHT HURT in her eyes. β draytonβ i know THIS ... isn't your favorite, β being serious for even a second, that is, β butβ but this time, β her voice shakes. β this time, i REALLY NEED YOU to. because what i'm about to tell you, isβ it's REALLY important. β
