What's up, I'm Astrifer, and I barely consider myself an artist, but I'm embarking on the journey to adapt VLD into a comic bc I want the physical media

The goal is to make each episode its own volume, and each volume will be available via download (somewhere idk). I'll also have it printed, but whether I can actually do that with the IP is yet to be seen

I'll be the one formatting screenshots of the series into panels, typesetting, lettering, and all that jazz

Also, if anyone knows where I can get S8 in 1080p without watermarks, that would be super helpful

I'd really like some feedback on the sfx: should I keep it consistent to a font only/drawn only, or is the mix of the two okay?

It’s taken me so long to figure out how to do the following page of pitch black to waking up on the ship just to take the simple route

Okay, so I’ve lightened the sfx color in the middle panel and made it bigger, and I made the sfx in the last panel more noticeable

What I’m not sure about is the glitching and motion blur

I think the placement and style of the text is good! But the color makes it hard to see. In the second panel, the purple kind of blends into the surroundings a bit and it took me a second to notice, and in the bottom panel I think the text is particularly hard to see, I didn't realize there were sfx in the bottom panel at all until you mentioned it 😅😅

I think the top one is perfect though! Hope this is helpful <3

It helps a lot, thank you!! I’ll make the middle panel sfx brighter to match the first, and then most likely outline the bottom panel’s sfx in black, or maybe similar to glitching?? I’ll play around with it!
