so in this post, it mentions that jafar was actually crying which i mean is feels enough but i went through the movie & i realized it was the scene when jafar was using his magic on the sultan & getting jasmine to marry him. @sassmaiden​ & i were talking about him betraying the sultan whom he sees as a father figure { ex: him calling the sultan baba }. therefore that scene was basically jafar betraying the sultan with magic which he didn’t want to do, hence the crying. i can’t say the same for him not wanting to do what he did to the others, but i know for a fact that he didn’t want to hurt the sultan but really saw no other way than  to nearly kill someone that jafar clearly cared about :’)
