So this is an oldie! I made this playlist as a Secret Santa gift for my friend @viyojo some time ago and thought I should post it here to archive it. I used to own physical albums that came with a song lyric booklet so was trying to emulate that in the presentation of the gift.

Kristoph Gavin has taken the stand to testify, and Phoenix Wright has taken his spot next to Apollo Justice. Given the only time he took his hat off being when he was hit, the defense seeks to implicate him as the real killer.

Gavin testifies that he sensed rage in Shadi Smith, and returned to The Borscht Bowl Club, to peek through the little window next to the door of The Hydeout, to see Wright standing above the two fallen people, bottle in hand. He left the window, and then received the call from Wright. Justice defended Wright, saying it had to be that fourth person, to which Gavin questioned why would the fourth person swap the cards in the first place.

Justice continued to Object, saying the reason would be this, as he whipped out a ace of spades, with a drop of blood on it. The Judge questioned if this was the 5th missing ace, while others in the court questioned why this evidence wasn't submitted until now.

Wright explained that he found that card on the 18th, the day after the murder, and gave it to his daughter for safekeeping. Wright pointed out the second crime scene photo, specifically the blood dribbling down the back of the victim's head, saying it could've fallen on one of the cards, and concluded the killer must have taken it, to which Gavin Objected. Wright said the card would've been Decisive Evidence.

Wright then asked the court to picture the scene of the crime, and how the victim's position couldn't fit if his blood was found on the cards on the table. The court found out the two were sitting in swivel chairs, which lead to Justice concluding that Smith was facing away from the table, and then the killer swiveled him back towards the table.

That lead to Justice questioning the position of the killer as well, since we knew Smith was struck from the front. But there would be no space for the killer to stand, with there being a cupboard right behind the chair. And moving the cupboard would cover up the window. With the window being covered, Gavin would have no place to witness the crime scene from as he testified.

Just then, the Bailiff burst in, revealing to the court that the cupboard covered up a secret passageway in The Hydeout that lead back up to the restaurant above; meaning if Gavin truly witnessed the crime, he would have had to been in The Hydeout at the time of it.

Justice then pieced it together for the court, claiming that Gavin waited in The Hydeout for just the right moment, and when Orly was unconscious and Wright was upstairs calling the police, he pushed the cupboard aside. Smith, who was waiting in his chair, turned it around with the noise, only to come face-to-face with his killer. The killer beat him to death with the bottle, and then disposed of the fifth ace.

Gavin raised an Objection, questioning why Wright's prints were still upside-down on the bottle. Justice simply explained that he was drinking the grape juice throughout the night, so his prints would be on it in all sorts of places.

Wright & Justice figured that Gavin beat the victim with the bottle from dinner earlier, and then disposed of it and planted one of Wright's bottles by the piano at the crime scene.

Gavin raised one last Objection, asking where the proof was of him doing that, where Wright revealed during one of the recesses he was asked for the court to retrieve all the bottles near the piano at The Borscht Bowl Club.

The Judge passed the bottles to Justice, who examined them, and found the ripped up five of hearts inside one of them. Gavin slammed his fist on the witness stand, asked Wright if this was revenge, and admitted it all to the court.

Kristoph Gavin was arrested for the murder of Shadi Smith, and Phoenix Wright was found not guilty.

Due to his arrest, his firm, Gavin Law Offices, has been dissolved.

Before they left the courtroom, Apollo Justice was witnessed punching Phoenix Wright, after the two had an argument. No charges will be pressed.
