Does anyone else think Asgore might’ve adopted Kris for the purpose of closing dark fountains? We don’t know EXACTLY when he got interested in investigating the dark world, but I think it’s possible. They’re an entirely monster town, choosing to adopt a human randomly into that town seems like a strange decision? I’m also thinking of how the Dreemurr family is referred to as royalty (and literally are in Undertale), all except for Kris. A knight. With the connotation of protecting royalty/ protection in general. I know it could just represent their ties to the roaring knight, but in CH. 5 Asgore didn’t question the reason for why Kris was in the dark world at all, he seemed shocked, but not confused. Of course, there’s the case of him just being caught up in the moment and not wanting to waste time, or it could be that they’d been taught to go into dark fountains and close them BY Asgore, so when he sees Kris there he assumes they’re coming in to close it, as they’ve been taught to. I don’t know if he would willingly put his child in danger like that, but looking at Undertale where he literally KILLS human children, it’s not too unlikely. Since many things are the same but different from Undertale into Deltarune, I could see this trait of Asgore (sacrificing human kids) carrying over like this.
Sorry if this is like already a really popular theory or well-known. Also this poor kid jfc
My Deltarune AU (headcanon? Idk cuz nothing changes apart from this) where there’s actually been a dark world in the ICE-E’s freezer all along and just like. Nobody has noticed or cared enough (cough cough Pizzapants) to report it. C’mon, nobody goes in there. It’s either money laundering or a dark world.
Anyway whenever they need to go get produce they just head in there and start picking up darkners made of sauce, cheese, pepperoni, whatever. I’m thinking I’ll make a dough darkner that just kinda an amorphous blob. Think Ted from IHNMAIMS but less disturbing. Probably.
Also, first post! Yippee!
