What the recent unfortunate incident between Gretchen Diez and a mall in QC brought forth however is the need to further build and act on this ordinance. We have to make sure that business owners and employees of companies and establishments within the city know and understand what the ordinance necessitates.

This incident also heightens the need for us to pursue the SOGIE Equality bill—the bill that protects LGBT+ people across our nation from all forms of discrimination.
