Pike spun around on their heels, ice cream in hand. "Just curious." Pike mused, glancing between the young person and their net. "Were you a fisher in your real life or your past life here?" Pike questioned curiously, sitting down near the other uninvited.
maybe she shouldn't have asked the question. questions invited answers. coral should have just told them to shove off and then maybe she would be left in peace. "both," they gruffed, only answering back because it was a topic they were interested in. "i like fish because they can't talk." coral said the last bit very pointedly.

cordelia was about to say something clever back at his words, before she looked up at lucifer in disbelief, shocked at how he could possibly know that. "how do you know that?" she questioned. "i mean like, i identify as human but i guess technically, yeah, i'm part demon." she needed to become one to stop the visions from giving her splitting headaches. something that had stopped now that she remembered. "unless that was just a way of going in to a cheesy compliment like i'm a goddess or something. in that case, ignore what i said." cordy said, before taking the drink quickly and tasting it. "oh, wow. you do know what you're doing. this is really tasty."

âI donât know if youâve noticed, but there seems to be enough room on the bench over there, so maybe if you could justâŚâ Jesse didnât finish is sentence as he looked at the other. He wasnât meaning to sound rude, it was just that when he gained his memories back, he realized that not only was he in the past, but he was alive. He was alive in a time line that not even his grandparents may have been alive to see, and Jesse didnât know what was going on or how to figure it out.
âSorry, DinaâŚI didnât realize that was you.â Jesse replied with a soft smile. âYour name is DinaâŚright? if itâs not, then Iâm sorry but I also apologize for being so rude. You just caught me at a bad moment.â He admitted. Usually he wasnât one to make excuses, but this town really was taking him out of his element and he wasnât comfortable with that.
dina had caught a glimpse of a ghost out of the corner of her eye. granted, she jesse in her dreams sometimes. but she wasnât one to hallucinate. or so she thought. but when she turned back and focused on the boy, she knew it was real because she pinched herself. so she found herself slipping onto the bench next to him. âjesse...â dina said softly. âyes, yes itâs me! you remember me and youâre... youâre here..â dina was in love with ellie, of course she was. but she would never stop caring about jesse. he was her best friend. his death had hurt both of them deeply. but dina grieved for the loss of her babyâs father. jj wasnât with her at the moment, which was probably a good thing, considering he seemed a little confused.Â
.・.:*â "Mean, even if I would believe in some sort of afterlife, not sure if I would imagine it being settled in Sydney, Australia, in the 1920's...." Tyreese mused with a small chuckle after listening to Rick. "But well, it is as it is. Our life here surely is better than it had been before. Even if...."
He trailed off for a moment, glancing at a point far behind Rick. The other man was not the only one feeling guilt, after all. They both had to live with the burden of remembering those they had failed to save. "Well, I mean, not all of us managed to get here, right? Which does yet again leave a sour taste. At least, for me."
"no, it's not exactly what they had us picture at church on sundays, is it?" rick said, with a smile. he hadn't been a fully devoted believer back then, before the world ended. but he at least liked the idea of a heaven. "but it is much better here. despite the strangeness of the city." he sighed at the next words, preparing himself to break new to tyreese. "no, but we can only hope they end up here like us. look... tyreese. i -- i have to tell you. we lost sasha. i'm so sorry. i'm sorry i couldn't save her." just like he couldn't save tyreese, even though he tried.

"and are you staying out of them?" jon questioned, with a knowing, but joking look. arya always could get up to mischief and he wanted to make sure she was safe here. that nothing could hurt her again. yes, she could more than look after herself. but he would always be her big brother. "well, i'm glad you had someone. hopefully a better childhood than you did have... i am well, thank you. life here is - well it's different. but good. a good different," jon responded. he could say with confidence now he didn't miss westeros. "well, apart from how odd the city is."

rhaenyra embraced him back when he hugged her, resting her hands on his shoulders when they parted. not ready to quite let go of her little, or not so little, boy just yet. but her expression turned to one of confusion at his words, unsure of the moment he was talking about. they had not been to the north. they had left kings landing for dragonstone only. "the north?" nyra questioned, trying to recall any memory of it. "what do you mean you just got back? you don't have to worry now, jace. i am here." that had been her main worry when they had also woke up here. to never see their children again. to not be there to protect them.

"hello stranger," star said, as she approached the table outside the cafe that levi was situated on. she had spotted him as she was walking down the street on the opposite side of the road and decided to say hello, considering she hadn't seen him in a few weeks. he wasn't quite a friend, but an acquaintance she had a friendly relationship with. "are you waiting for anyone?" star said, looking at the spare seat in front of him.
@thebridgestarters
"now, that wasn't very polite, was it mate?" eggsy said, after knocking the drunken man to the floor with ease, after he had swung at eggsy when he had interrupted him insulting someone on the street. he didn't feel remorse for it, even after hearing how hard the fall had been. in fact, he had a smirk on his face. the jerk deserved it. "manners maketh man, after all." eggsy looked over at someone who seemed to be observing the encounter and winked. hopefully they had seen the whole interaction and it didn't seem as though he was actually the dick.
lysistrata had dreamed that a place like this would have existed. a place that had seemed so beautiful and open and WELCOMING, not a place where others were ripped from their owns, and others looked on and laughed for their own enjoyment. a place that was so different that she felt as if she did not need to glue a face on her that would align her with the other capitol students. she did not have to align herself with people like festus creed or corilanus snow. and maybe she had already been so different from them, maybe it was why she had even a thought that corialanus understood what she had been going through. yet HE had been the one to send her tribute to his death, but maybe she had done it for her own selfish reasons as well, so he wouldn't have to suffer more than he already had. but alas, she could not spend more time thinking about those things. she had to continue to think about herself, and how she enjoyed the peace this world provided, like simple coffees. she hadn't been counting on nearly getting run down, but she still gripped the mans arm holding herself up right before her eyes widened, as if she had since a ghost. "jessup?" she began softly, her free hand not gripping his tightly coming up to gently touch his other shoulder. "how... how are you alive? i saw you... i..."
"i'm... not?" he responded, still holding her arm gently. "i mean, i guess i am... here? i don't really know how to explain it." maybe here wasn't an afterlife then, if lys was here. or maybe it was and he'd been here years and she'd died of old age. jessup didn't know, it seemed to philosophical to him. too strange. he didn't think too much about the city. just tried to live as normal life as possible. "but you. i never expected to see you again."

@virtuousoulsâââââ || Pearl for anyone !
Pearl was used to having control of every little thing in her life. She was used to fixing problems as soon as they occurred. Now, she didnât have as much control as sheâd had previously, but teaching dance helped her to have some bit of the appearance of control. Before class, sheâd gone to grab a coffee. She didnât need it, but she did enjoy the flavor and how it made her felt inside. The line seemed to be taking longer than sheâd expected, but the caffeine was something she couldnât do without at the moment. âYou would think that these humans would be faster at this by now.â she said, more to herself, not realizing that sheâd said it loud enough for the person in front of her to hear.
the coffee shop was getting rather busy, with the line barely moving. but spencer had deemed himself to be too deep in the line now to leave. if he left it and went somewhere else, it would probably take longer than it would to wait here. he could go without coffee, but he didn't want to. when the person behind him spoke out loud, spencer looked at her, considering he was already looking behind him anyway. the comment about humans made him raise an eyebrow, but he didn't dwell on it. "i think it's due to people's orders getting more complicated. no one just likes the taste of plain coffee anymore."
continued from here
"yes," he agreed. "the fear of the unknown runs deep in a lot of people. i used to, but i realised that there was no point obsessing over something that was unlikely to change," spencer said, with a shrug. "not without changing yourself." sometimes opinions did change, but most of the time spencer found that people's opinions of him were set in stone. especially from strangers.

Niklaus never thought he would actually get to go back in time. the 20;s for him was a fun time, he ran new orleans and left the residents in fear of the mikaelson name. he had grown up a lot since then, not really terrifying people and killing them, at least not as many as he had. now he tries to be more discreet and he tries his best not to kill, just eat and release. klaus was a father after all, and he had to leave somewhat of a positive role- model for his daughter and he was told it was never too late to change. âiâm so bored.â klaus sighed a bit, shaking his head. âthe 20â˛s werenât this bad the first time around. wonder what has changed. do you know what has changed?â
spike's attention peaked at the other mentioning the twenties before. he had also lived through the twenties, with them being exciting. but nothing like this city. "i don't know, maybe the fact they're we're stuck in this weird arse city that's full of magic might be what's changed?" spike asked back, rolling his eyes slightly. "i'm sure there's at least something here that can keep you entertained. you're clearly not looking in the right places."

dina smiled at k2 at xyr compliment. "actually, you're damn right about that," she said, as she sat down on the mattress next to jj and handed him a toy to play with to keep him occupied. "it is much easier here than my world," she responded. "and i'm not alone." dina had the support system here in sydney. ellie, jesse and joel back. plus k2. it's all she needed. dina smiled again at xym. "i know you would. we love you, you know that right?" she knew xyr did, but it was nice to affirm it out loud.

He wanted to cry. Actually, in all honesty, Ryker wasnât sure he wasnât crying, even if he tried to blink them away. âYou were in pain.â His voice was hoarse, not letting Dex take any of the blame for it. Theyâd been friends, as much as two people who had only known each other a tiny bit before being thrown into a terrible situation could be friends, and it had broken his heart and maybe his soul to do what he did. But Dex climbing while Ryker stood guard at the bottom, that had been a chance of freedom. How could Ryker blame Dex for trying to escape? âI know I had to do it, but Iâm still sorry. I should have been the one to go climbing.â While Dex had been the obvious choice at the time, given it was his idea, he was lighter, and Ryker was more intimidating and less likely to be attacked straight away, he should still have insisted on going. Heâd tried to be responsible for everyone, and it had failed completely. âIâm glad youâre here though. We really did get to escape the Capitol in the end.â And this was more than just dying to escape. They could live here, and although Ryker didnât know what to do with himself, he was still beyond relieved that so many people here got the fresh start in life they deserved. âWyattâs here too. And⌠Sapphire.â He had also seen his brother and both his boyfriends, but he didnât know if Wyatt knew any of them. AJ and Elias had been involved in the rebellion, yes, but that wasnât the same as caring. âI donât know if anyone else is. From⌠you know.â
dexter shook his head at rykerâs words. âno, it was a stupid idea. there would be no way it would work. why would i think they would let us simply climb the stands?â they wanted a show. for them to be slaughtered. of course they werenât going to just let them have an easy way to escape. he should have known better. he was smarter than that. âiâm glad youâre here too. we did and itâs not so bad here at all.â dex was going to ask if he won, but in the short time he had known ryker and how anguished heâd been to even end his own suffering, he knew probably not. not if sapphire was still around. âhe is? thatâs great. it really is... and for sapphire,â he said, though the frown was evident on his face. though he knew it was all the capitolâs fault, dexter still couldnât help but be scared of sapphire. how quick she was to take up a weapon and kill for them. âno, iâve not... iâve not seen anyone at all. only you.â

for once, violet didn't avoid the touch. allowing him to cup her face and continued to let tears slip from her eyes. she had never allowed herself to be this vulnerable in front of anyone before. but danny made her feel safe. cared for her and she believed his words. but she still shook her head. "it should," violet whispered. "i... i don't deserve this." back in her world, she didn't care about it. became detached from killing. it was needed for survival. especially when other's wanted to kill you. "no, i didn't." she had her found family and vi cared for them deeply. but having danny here reminded her of her real father. it seemed like life times ago since she had spoken to him. had almost forgotten the sound of his voice. "i'm doing my best. to heal here. but it's just so..." she sighed deeply. "hard. to be back in a society."
