I do plan on making version three but I’m still not sure what home I’m sick and longing for. I hate the way I feel all the time. This deep dark sad homesickness but I don’t think it’s a place I think it’s a time that will just simply never be again. It blows.

Fun fact about the 2018 version it’s all colored pencil and the hands of course are lil peeps but the background is actually a picture of a build board I took in California spring break the year before I think? The build boards in California are so weird it looked like a screencap from a movie or a music video. Another one I didn’t take a pic of was a picture of Lindsay Lohan covered in coke, the same pic reposted three times across one build board. California is the weird place I refer to when I say my art manifests in a weird place. I however don’t. I live on the east coast. I think that’s why it’s so hard to break out of this bubble.

THIS PEICE OF ART HAS PLAUGED ME FOR YEARS NOW

I STILL can’t fucking find the original I did nor my original references that ÜGH they’re just the epitome of me and how I feel.

So the references the background is a build board I took a picture of in California in 2016. It wasn’t an advertisement it was literally like a subtitled movie screen shot almost maybe I HAVE NO IDEA BUT IT WAS AESTHETIC AS FUCK AND THE TUMBLR KID IN ME HAD TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.

And the second image is of course lil peeps hands. Showcasing his homesick tattoo again meaningful person and if homesick was a person it would be me it’s complicated and my soul aches.

Anyways. Going through my storage unit and if I don’t find this image I might actually freak the fuck out. 😅

But yeah back to the “do I recreate this debate” if I do I really want to paint it a lot bigger I think honestly. 🤭🤷🏻we’ll see.

Maybe I’ll just scan the original one and touch it up in photoshop and blow it up. Ya know get it printed at Wally World?

Yeah I’m lame I know.
