I’m a lesbian! this june will be my first pride month out as a lesbian. I struggled with compulsive heterosexuality for a long time in my life— either denying myself entirely as liking women or forcing myself to label myself certain ways so I still dated men. My relationships with men were loveless and often abusive. But within the past year accepting myself as a lesbian has made me happier than ever in my love-life. I don’t feel forced or pressured to love. I just feel like me. And I hope everyone out there gets to feel that, no matter their identity.
