ahem.

i’ve been a very good L.isa kinnie and all this time i’ve been working on my thesis for uni (i passed, woooo!). Well, i passed the first step, my thesis will be concluded only next year, as of now its been accepted by the head professors. SO!

am i back?

possibly. i’ve also been working on the cosplays i’ll be using next year for a number of cons (yes, genshin cosplays, i still play this dumb game), and i’ll also be working at a hospital for the first semester of 2023. but! i’ll try to not disappear again for such a long time, you guys might catch me around here once a week or so, but no promises.

@wxndswept whispered to Lisa:     "I heard it was your birthday Miss Lisa, so I took the liberty of cleaning and organizing the library! I also got you some nice tea leaves. Hopefully you can use them and just spend today relaxing and not have to worry about anything." Amber held out the small sack of tea leaves with a smile.

Being so protective over the library, the witch isn’t very fond of people other than herself organizing the books within it, but given the nature of this action, she couldn’t help but smile at the girl.

Not to mention, she was somewhat glad she wouldn’t have to do it this time... the “special” occasion having its gloomy undertones or not, she really did not plan on working too much that day.

❝  Oh, my... Such an impressionable young lady. And attentive too! Haha~ Thank you, sweetie. I appreciate it very much.  ❞  she teased, but promptly nodded in acknowledgement.

@visionlcss whispered to Lisa:    "how time flies. i'm glad i didn't forget your birthday. happy birthday, dear."jean hands the purple rose witch a small bouquet of flowers and a cake that she had took hours to bake. (jean to lisa!)

How time flies indeed...

Normally, Lisa would not pay much mind to this day, she found it better to simply ignore it rather than give in to the dread it caused her; ever since touching that forbidden book, simple things that were supposed to bring her happiness began to remind her how fickle her life had become.

But this gesture... from her of all people... it was heartwarming.

For a moment she could forget her fate when Jean was around, especially when she smiled so deeply at her.

❝  Oh my... I-... Now only you to make a girl feel this special.  ❞  she chuckled, trying to hide the surprise from her face,  ❝  All of this for little ol’ me? This must have taken so long...  ❞  

It almost made her feel bad, to see Jean use her precious time to make all of this for her, but she couldn’t wipe the smile off of her face.

❝  They’re beautiful, honey... I love it.  ❞  her tone was quieter then, more sincere. Something only for Jean to hear as she got closer, pressing her lips against hers.

@aratakigang whispered to Lisa:     “Happy birthday electro blizzard lady. Here’s a little ceremonial birthday pumpkin from the arataki gang!” The Oni spoke with glee as he placed the miniature vegetable on the rim of her hat

The witch turns pale, paler than she already is. Green eyes are dead set on nowhere in particular, and her lips press into a thin line. 

It was only a brief second later that she slowly shifts her gaze at the tall man before her, eyes now nearly piercing through him as gloved hands balled into fists out of sheer stress.

@glaciescustodia whispered to Lisa:     He doesnt particularly celebrate much special days in a year, or each year at that, but it does not stop Razor for being each times he is taught things from Lisa. "Teacher, i brought good flowers", a pause, "and Wolfhook....". Hoping this wasnt too much. (from Glaciescustodia, this is same mun as my main blog; Dcndrohina)

It was far too early for her, so much so that, at first, she scarcely remembered what day it was, so upon visiting her pupil, being presented “gifts” so out of the blue was... confusing... to say the least.

Blinking away the vexed state she found herself in, she chuckled at the boy.

❝  Oh my... For me? That’s quite sweet of yo-  ❞

An abrupt pause. Only then did she finally catch up with what was happening. And for the rest of the conversation, the witch simply stood silently, a faint yet genuine smile on her lips, as she tried to desperately  shoo away the mist in her eyes.

Delicate hands hold the flowers the boy innocently gave to her, a soft scoff escaping her then.

Had she spoken of mother’s day to him before...? Hm... She wondered what he had understood from it. And why, of all people, did he find her fit for such a position.

One of her hands would slip away from the small bouquet, being placed atop his head as she softly caressed it,  ❝  Thank you, dear... They are wonderful. Now, let me make something for you to eat, yes?  ❞

It was all coming along great, as if everything was starting to click together, which in turn, is bringing about a more relaxed smile from the Outrider. But also one that would naturally fit her normally. We all know, sadness, or tears, isn’t the right look on her, that beaming and bright smile is the Amber we all know and love. While it isn’t fully back, it’s slowly making it’s return.

“Anything new?”

Perfect. A change in the convocation is what the Outrider could really do with right now. Instead of thinking of the pain, and a failure. How about one of a success instead. Or least something interesting, to the point that it’d be worth talking about, compared to getting worked up, and breaking down over it. A much more positive way to think.

While thinking of such, a few things did pop into her head. As she perked up a little.”Oh! I did see a few new people I haven’t seen before, traveling past Mondstadt, they seemed to be on a journey, I offered to walk with them for a small bit, just to make sure they were safe! Besides those, I haven’t met anyone new lately.”

And just like that, she was herself again... The girl was surely amusing. Lisa couldn’t help but smile as well, really... as she usually did whenever Amber was around; she was what people liked to call ‘sunshine personified’.

And with her answer, the librarian promptly hummed a chuckle, turning her gaze to the path they were walking, just as they turned the corner to get to one of the exits from the library.  

❝  Oh? A journey, how fun-  ❞  and tiring, but of course the other would be more than excited to accompany them,  ❝ Did they tell you where they were from? So many people emerging, going on adventures... I wonder if it’s because the Sakoku decree was lifted. Hm... ❞  she mused aloud, perhaps giving something more for the archer to think about.

Pushing the door open, she mouthed to one of the guarding knights they were going on a tea break, who then promptly nodded and stood in front of the door soon after.

She had loyalty to her duties, more than that and she’d hurt not only the other person but the entirety of Inazuma.

❝  Though as much as I detest admitting, the feeling of loneliness is one that closely walks with me. Though... my feelings do not matter in the long run, as long as the people of Inazuma are free to do just as you say, then... Then I am happy enough.  ❞

She gave a sad smile.
