Pearls are drawn from the void for you-

Yawning lazy maw,

Clicking

With anticipation of FLESH.

Fangs extracted from the soft pink walls,

Crying for mama,

Would you like me for me to draw the shape of it on paper?

I do not know if I would do it,

Although the frustration

Is not with you

(Never with you).

It is with me like a dog,

Like a constant source of light.

That is the shape I take

As I try to be close to you,

With bells and whistles and offerings of fruit,

Through puddles or mirrors or pools.

Never lost,

we are constantly born anew-

I tried to be as a door-

You are my door.

Open as I am closed-

Walking in and out of frame,

Trying to feel your body,

With the strange sensation

That I cannot see you

Because you are all around me

And inside.

With the sun breaking through,

shimmering,

Like holographic meringue

Galaxies are moving-

Constellations of astrological significance clicking into place

Like gears in their cosmic patterns.

They are clockwork,

spinning above us

Sometimes the light is so blue

I can’t stand it-

It’s so dusty, heavy blue

With clouds and twilight in the sky like lace,

And goodnight words

Springing from our mouths

Like bubbles of air underwater,

As we are weighed down by the trembling certainty

Of dusk coming on, deeper blue

Sapphire-black

My siblings will come through these woods

After I am gone

And I do hope they will fare better than I.

I am still

Begging for crumbs

So that one day I may string a garland

Or maybe a necklace

Or a trail of bread, all stabbed through with yarn

So that you may find your way through the woods
