Hi Hi I'm Emet!! I'm an alter in a system (main blog @calculatormenace) but I decided I want my own blog. Also our host wants to roleplay as me at Evilcon so this is also set up to be a roleplay blog. While this is a roleplay blog I am also a real guy. I am an introject of an OC made for a Backrooms roleplay, but also I'm super into The Magnus Archives and will probably be roleplaying as myself in that universe because that's cool as fuck.
Just block me if you have trouble with unreality. I have trouble with unreality so I get it but this is my place to indulge. Nothing here is real. I'm probably not real.
OH UHHHH i reblog a lot of stuff about
Liminal space
Unreality
Horror
Stuff like that
Please take care of yourself!!!
I was put on ARTFIGHT. PLEASE LOOK AT THIS!!! That has like all my #Lore and it's very cool.
Uhhh meta info under cut or something
Blog Rules:
Any interactions are encouraged.
Angst is encouraged.
All timelines/character interactions are simultaneously happening. If you want to have a specific storyline/universe, let us know so we can create a specific tag for it and organize it properly.
Please avoid NSFW.
Mod Information:
This blog is run by a system that is physically 20 years old. You may refer to us in the singular or the plural with he/they pronouns, we don't really care.
This blog will likely be mostly used by a Jonathan Sims introject, but might occasionally be used by the introject of Emet Greyson.
We may not keep up with this blog too seriously, as this is just a silly little side idea.
Out-of-Character posts will start with \\ and will end with an emoji signifying which alter wrote the post.
Tags:
I'm Rehearsing What To Say - For long-form, literate roleplays. For us, that looks like actions written in the third person, with spoken words in quotations.
When The Truth Comes Out (Of My Very Own Mouth) - Illiterate roleplays. Spoken words are typed without quotes, actions are in asterisks.
If I Make It Through Tonight Everybody's Gonna Hear Me Out - In-Character blogging.
I Think It's Time For You To Know The Awful Truth - Responses to asks.
The Truth About Me And The Truth About You - Not roleplay, but the introject of Emet Greyson using this blog as he wants.
Collecting - Just thing I wanna reblog for collecting. I know it's a crime this one doesn't have lyrics to Touch-Tone Telephone. Collecting will probably have a name tag of who things remind me of.
\\OOC - Out of character posts, will usually have an emoji at the end of it to designate who specifically wrote the post.

Emet trips, landing on his arms and knees. He sharply inhales, then mutters, "At least it isn't spikes again." He looks up and around, slowly clambering to his feet. As he looks to the sky, he turns around a few times, as if looking for something.
"Shit... Did I slip?"
Emet brushes off the dirt on him as he looks around, recognizing no familiar faces. He sighs, sad that he doesn't see any of his group, but relieved that nobody is familiar.
[A vast avatar approaches him. He appears young, yet is holding an intricately carved walking stick. His hair seems to exemplify the concept of the vast itself, being very puffy, and extending several inches in all directions. He is wearing glasses, and a skirt that seems to be made of water, with the way it flows. It appears at first glance to have stingrays patterned onto it. At a deeper inspection, it becomes clear that they are alive, and just swimming around.]
"Hello! Are alright? You took quite a tumble back there."
"Oh, uh, yeah! I'm alright. Thank you! Sorry you had to, uh, see that."
He wants to comment on the person's clothes, and even complement the walking stick, but he assumes his mind is just playing tricks on him, and he has bigger fish to fry. "Hey, um, weird question, where are we?"
"No problem! We're currently... somewhere. We're at the 2026 Evilcon, for avatars and others! As for the physical location... I am unsure. I just kinda swam down really deep, and ended up here. It's not common to end up here on accident, how'd you get here?"
He sighs. "Okay, 2026, five years, okay, yeah," he mutters, as if trying to rationalize to himself.
"I. Uh. Well I kinda just. Tripped. Fell through the floor. I guess I'm here now. You said you swam here?" The question seems less like he's confused and more like he's just tired and trying to make conversation.
"Of course! Most people use The Spiral, but I much prefer The Vast (not just because I'm an avatar.) Did you come here with someone, or for any reason, or even on purpose at all?"
"Well I suppose I used the Trip And Fall," he says with a laugh. "I guess I came here alone, unless any of my friends slip here as well. This is a, uh, convention? Like an oddities convention? It seems... Cool..."
"Not... not quite an "oddities" convention, though you will find a great number of those here. Are you... are you not an avatar? Are you even aware of what it means to be one?"
[He asks all these with great curiosity. He is very interested in what this non-avatar is doing here.]
He shakes his head 'no'. "Not a clue. Unless you mean like the bodily manifestation of a divine teacher. But I'd doubt they'd be at something called Evilcon."
"Depends on how you define a lot of those words. We aren't simply 'bodily manifestations' and I certainly wouldn't call our patrons 'teachers' but divine fits for some of them. My patron certainly is, but a much better fits-all term would probably be 'deity.' Though I must ask, if you have no connection with any of this, how the hell did you end up here?"
He shrugs. "I was in a jungle or something being chased by like a dinosaur or something and then I tripped and fell and now I'm here," he says like it's old news. "So I'm at a convention for, like, evil prophets?"
"I need to hear that story. But no, none of us are prophets, and evil is relative anyway. I prefer to think of it as 'morally gray conduits of eldritch power.'"
He waves his hand dismissively. "You... Really don't wanna hear that story. It's whatever. Anyway, I only said evil since this is called. Evil-Con. But yeah. Good to know. So... Uh... What's your Eldritch Patron? If that's like. Polite to ask."
[He gestures towards his skirt and and walking stick.]
"The Vast! The patron of large empty spaces, and a personification (as much as they can be considered such) of the uncaring universe! I myself am sea-aligned, but my siblings can also be sky or space themed."
His eyes widen. "Oh! Oh that's all real! Oh wow that's so cool!!!" He takes a closer look at the skirt and says, "I really thought I was just, seeing things, is that all actually, like moving?"
"Not just moving, but alive! They're my pets. But enough about me, I'm far more concerned about your story. How did you get to the jungle in the first place, why were there dinosaurs, and, because you 'tripped and fell' you ended up here? That doesn't quite sound like any of The Fears, and this is their event."
"They're your pets?! No, not enough about you, I need to know more about this!" He waves at the stingrays. "Do they have names? Oh! Do you have a name?"
"Oh, I feel rude now, I should've introduced myself sooner. I go by Ace, and my pets do have names, but they're unpronouncable by the human tongue. What's your name?"
"Of course!" [He gestures towards each one as he says it's name] "Kraken, Jormungand, Poseidon, Leviathan, Siren, Scylla and Charybdis (they're twins), and the one I've had the longest, Valentina (or Val for short). Do you have any pets?"
"Ohhh I love those names. No, I don't have any pets. I'm in college right now and I can't keep any pets at my dorm. I'd love a cat, though... You've had these for a while?? How does this even work???"
"What do you mean how does this work? I keep them in an aquarium most of the time, and I feed them. But seriously, what's going on with you? You're in college, you live in a dorm, you were being chased by a dinosaur in the jungle, and tripped through the floor to end up here? What the hell kinda life do you live?"
[Ace has more than noticed Emet is uncomfortable with that topic, and starts to shift the conversation away from it]
"They are! It gives them some 'fresh air,' and makes my outfit look cooler! They're my favorite sea creature after all. What's your favorite sea creature?"
"Oh! Um! No thank you! I can barely keep myself alive, haven't had a break in a while, I certainly can't have a pet." Emet gestures behind himself and says, "Well, I guess I technically have a pet but I don't think she made it to this dimension or whatever. It's, yeah."
His eyes widen, as though trying to hide the shock of a revelation. Then he laughs. "Oh! Oh, okay! I see! No, no thank you. No, I'm done with deals, not in the market anymore. Swearing off it, no matter who you look like."
[Ace is clearly surprised by this reaction, yet almost nothing about him actually changes.]
"No matter who I look like? I am not of The Stranger, no matter what it seems. And this is no deal. I am not asking anything of you. It doesn't cost me to be nice, after all."
"Yeah, yeah, as you would say. I guess being here is break enough, really. I hope there's like... seats and food somewhere." It's clear that he's trying to be polite but he's just tired and frazzled.

A man suddenly appears in the arcade, stumbling over himself. It's unclear where he came from. When he regains his balance, he tenses up. It's as though he's trying not to take in his surroundings.
"Oh no. Ohhhh no. Not again. Not again."
@vintage-hazard
One of the machines in the corner of the arcade flickered to life, and the man felt like he was being watched.
He immediately feels the arcade machine flicker to life. He jumps.
"Ohhhh no. No no no no," he says as he looks around for an exit. He walks in the direction opposite of the machine that turned on, but there's no exit. "No, no, no, of course. Obviously. Obviously! Of course I'm here!"
He yelps when the voice starts talking. "Yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah," he says in a high pitch. He keeps searching for a bare wall, but there are machines lining the walls. He ends up crouching and touching the floor, continuing to whisper "yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah."
"No, yeah, I am!!! So sure!!!!" He starts to tap the floor, and then press down on it, as if he's waiting for something to cave. "C'mon, c'mon, let me out, let me out," he mutters to himself.
"No th- No I appreciate it but I'll politely decline. I don't accept gifts from fae nor hallucinations." He huffs as he stands. He paces in circles as he blocks out his periphery vision with his hands.
"Sounds about right." He stops pacing and closes his eyes. "Do you know how to get out of here? Can I get out of here or is it an eternal torment type thing?"
Emet trips, landing on his arms and knees. He sharply inhales, then mutters, "At least it isn't spikes again." He looks up and around, slowly clambering to his feet. As he looks to the sky, he turns around a few times, as if looking for something.

A man suddenly appears in the arcade, stumbling over himself. It's unclear where he came from. When he regains his balance, he tenses up. It's as though he's trying not to take in his surroundings.
"Oh no. Ohhhh no. Not again. Not again."
@vintage-hazard
