So Iāve heard about this theory that Druella Black (Narcissaās mum) was married at 13. Yup, 13.
Iām not certain if this is canon, but several websites went by this theory. I donāt personally hc this, but it does put Druella in a whole new light.
Imagine the pressure Druella felt when she was forced to marry as a literal teenager.
Imagine her having to suffer the agony of childbirth at such a young age (Bellatrix was born in 1951, Andy ~1953, and Narcissa 1955, so thatās 13, ~15, and 17, respectively).
Imagine a young Druella-letās say 14-trying to raise a child. Trying to manage a baby when sheās still only a teenager. Trying to run a household as a teenager. And then learning that sheās pregnant, again.
Imagine Druella holding another baby in her arms. A girl.
Then, a few years later, another girl.
Imagine the judgement she faced. A pureblood wife, not giving her husband a male heir. Imagine Druella listening to others-perhaps those she called friends-calling her a failure.
Imagine Druella raising her children, adamant to make sure that they became the perfect, talented, well-behaved daughters that she was taught to be. Imagine that Druella was also sure to let her daughters have more freedom than she didā¦with exceptions, of course.
Imagine Druella watching each of her daughters slowly choose their futures. Doing something she never could. Doing something she could only wish for.
Imagine Druella watching her eldest daughter turn gaunt, pale, thin, and desperately devoted to The Dark Lord, a man nearly three times her age. Imagine Druella plotting Bellatrixās marriage to Rodolphus, hoping that a husband would distract Bellatrix.
Imagine her blasting Andromedaās portrait off the family tapestry for daring to besmirch the family name with a mudblood, for daring to disobey and leave pureblood society.
Imagine Druella proudly (and a little wistfully) observing her youngest daughterās courtship and wedding to a man Narcissa actually loved. A man Narcissa had met, in school, and had decided to marry after graduating Hogwarts.
Imagine Druella at the end of her life, with her husband dead, eldest daughter in Azkaban, another daughter gone, and her last daughter living the life Druella never could, wondering if she had done the right thing. Wondering about the life she couldāve had.
In this theory, Druella literally had her childhood ripped away from her before it really even started.
