Hippogriffs || Vincent & Veronica
She laughed a little, it was more of a sad laugh. âWell they donât really know about it. If they did Iâm not sure they would to be honest.â She didnât come from a pureblood family, she was muggleborn. Her parents acted thrilled when Zach and Veronica got their letters but in actuallity she knew they were disappointed. They were big time business people who worked with government officials and CEOâs on a daily basis and they knew if they went to school in Hogwarts their kids wouldnât be able to follow in their footsteps. But Zach convinced them to let him go so they had to let Veronica go. She didnât even tell them she wanted to be a writer after school, they wanted her to study Business and Marketing at a muggle school.Â
Veronica never really made contact with the Potter kids, or the Weasley kids. She felt insecure enough without them casting a giant shadow over them. âWell you should get it a lot cause itâs true.â She really didnât know what she just said, it just kinda slipped out.
"I bet itâs amazing isnât it? Iâve always wanted to. But I donât think itâs going to happen. Â can barely ride a broom nevermind a hippogriff."
âOhâŚâ Vincent was taken back. That hadnât been the answer he was expecting to hear. He had just assumed that they knew. How stupid was he to have done that. Youâd think after making countless mistakes like this that the boy would learn. Maybe thatâs why his parents referred to him as a fuck up.  He finally understood his fatherâs drunk words that were thrown at him in the dark hours of the night. âWell you never knowâŚYouâd be surprised about a lot of things.â Vincent shrugged as he looked away. In his mind, all he was doing was making the situation worse and worse.
A little redness fell on the boys face, still avoiding her look. Something positive directed his wayâŚThat never happened. It was always something harsh or hurtful. He had no that such things existed. But he was grateful for it.  âWell thank youâŚIt means a lot to me.â Once she mentioned the Hippogriff, the boyâs eyes slowly moved up.âOh MerlinâŚRiding a Hippogriff is nothing like ride a broom. Iâd try to explain it to you, but there arenât words to describe such a feeling. I guess the only way for you to know is for you to actually ride one yourself.â
