17: rain kiss

he felt another small ball of paper hit him, adding to the pile that was currently in his lap.

“two things  — your aim is very good lily and secondly i don’t get people claiming me to be the one not doing homework.”

       the head boy said with a smirk at the head girl sitting in front him, but there was a hint of a glint in his eyes…..the one he got when he was up to something and before the redhead could react he picked up the pile from his lap in his hand and threw it right in his girlfriend’s face who was unfortunately just about to say something. leaving lily with a mouth full of paper balls and James falling off the chair laughing.

Lily spitting out all the paper, James still reminding on the floor, making no what so whatever hiding his laughter, until he met the redhead’s eyes.

standing up James shoot away out from the library leaving all of his belongs behind to run away from the redhead beast in his heels.  James was beyond happy for the mornings runs he did as he was currently running at what seemed at top speed to not have lily’s catch up with him. passing people on the way he could. 

taking a turn James ran out on a court yard and to his horror it was a dead end. turning around James felt himself becoming drenched in seconds, he looked back to meet his doom. there on the edge of the door. standing inches away from the muggy ground was Lily. 

  “you don’t want to join me? “he was still breathless from the run but he managed to get it out with a smirk.

“not happening! no no no!!! don’t think about it James! NO! JAMES NO!” James had pulled her by the hand to join him under the pouring rain, she joined him

“You know for once your hair doesn’t look that bad. “

“you don’t look like a double decker buss for once”

“you think you are so funny don’t you?   i knew it would come back and bite me in the arse taking you to muggle london”

“No, I think I am hilarious”

“I know you do.”

“Wait are you trying to say i am not hilarious? Lily! you can insult my hair, but do not insult my humour”

         ❛  i can HEAR you thinking loudly from here.  ❜ bright hues haven’t done much to open yet, nevertheless. the night had been a long one, rather distressing too   …   WAR isn’t exactly the best time of their lives, but they deal — they, the order, has to.  perhaps, none of them were quite aware of what it all would mean, how it’d slowly but certainly start eating out on them, their bodies, their minds  ——  lupin sighs, softly.  slightly darkened hues open, yet he doesn’t move from the considerably comfortable sofa.

       ❛  i know … asking what’s wrong it’s a bit of a stupid           thing to do, CONSIDERING. but, what’s wrong ?  ❜

     her gaze is set;   eyes unblinking on the ceiling above their heads.  One might    have thought her ASLEEP,  such was her stillness, her quietness - and for her to    FALL ASLEEP wouldn’t have been so surprising; exhaustion crept through her    bones, filled her joints  &   still exhaustion didn’t quiet her mind but seemed to    AMPLIFY it.    Every anxiety she’d piled into her came bursting forward with     painful clarity,  demanding the forefront of her consciousness  &   she was     hard pressed to not give each her attention.   

          his words shake her from her reverie, a blink clearing the glaze that had settled      over green hues  &   for a minute she remains unmoving, a small sigh escaping her      lips the only indication she’d taken notice of his words;   she has no desire to pile       her ANXIETIES onto him, they all had their own problems, each a unique sense of      TREPIDATION that came with the war.   Her problems were her own, and she was      sure he had enough to worry about.    & yet he was her friend,  someone she had       come to TRUST and so she turns toward him,    eyes meeting his  &  softening as       she stares into the depth of their familiarity.  Lily has to pause; words hovering on       the edge of her lips in one final hesitation before she caves, letting her thoughts       tumble off her tongue and into the space between them.

And I’m so glad that there are so many of you that have made this experience so wonderful for me. It’s really brought my rp experience back to happy and relaxing again. There are too many of you following for my own ego, but a certain few have especially helped. (This is a sort of promo as well, for some of the loveliest people I’ve ever had the good fortune to meet on this site.)

Whether it’s talking to them ooc, plotting with them (and crying about painful headcanons), or simply reading the things they post, these people have honestly brought so much positivity to my dash. And for that I thank you all.
