Thinking more than twice either to leave or stay on my unhappy, stressful environment.
I was a fresh college graduate a year ago, my first workplace seems to be all good. Until I got these heavy workloads, I know it's crazy to put this term 'heavy' like any person couldn't handle this pressure I'm dealing with today.
I got to raise my self awareness since I had to do things alone as an (-----) staff. Superior left me a month after I got transferred on her department which somehow made me what I am today. Since she was busy that time with her other stuffs, I got myself involved real extra on my job that I love every bit of it. I gained so much experience from it. Once in a while I get messages from my manager that her job would not be much easier if it wasn't because of me. I like that tho, I'm very grateful I've met a manager like her who could appreciate her underling's output.
Since I got her approval, after my first half year I got promoted. Yipiieeee! I GOT PROMOTED AS A PERSONAL/EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT OF THE BOSS. I got excited but the thing is, I'm still an (-----) staff on that department meaning, I have two workloads. Though I got an increase, I cannot handle the pressure whenever my manager from (-----) department is nowhere. I couldn't sit at all, she even gave me an office chair (sign of my position) whats the point, tho?
My temper is being tested, I couldn't rest at all. Maybe I'm too workaholic and lazy at the same time. Maybe I'm only good at the beginning but not until the end. Maybe I'm too shy to say I couldn't. Maybe I'm still the average girl before back in my school days. Maybe I just thought it's too much but it's not. Maybe it's just in my mind that I have lots to do or maybe they abuse me for real at the same time.
To my Boss, I'm sorry I couldn't do what I have to do, so guilty but I tried. I'd like to rest a bit, and writing this would be a help atleast. I hope so.
