âPlease come back, please come back, please come back.â - poppy @ mami
Who lost these-
The call had been... unexpected. The force of it was like a rope around Mamozoelleâs waist, gripping her so tightly it made her stomach clench, dragging her down down down and before she realized it she was on Earth. Wholly unprepared and a bit disoriented, she hadnât even donned her preferred form, although she still made sure to choose something.. human.Â
Even if it appeared a bit too close to her immortal form for comfort.
It was all she could do to remember to quickly close her eyes as she stumbled into Poppy. Wouldnât want to burn her best friend after all!
âWoah, woah, woah there Pops!â
Hands gripped the ball-joints of the dollâs elbows, mostly to stabilize herself, but in part to offer a bit of comfort instinctively. Fingers rubbed at porcelain as the angelâs head tilted to the side.Â
âWhatâs wrong? Why the urgency? Did something happen? I was only gone for a couple of days..."Â
But even as she said it she realized the words werenât true. Time is irrelevant in heaven, it simply doesnât exist. But down here? Everything was caught in its flow and ebb. Normally it was one of the things Mami loves most about Earth, but right now, it was causing her no small amount of stress.Â
When was she last here? How long had it been? She could feel time rushing through her and every second, minute, hour, day, month, year... She could feel all of it. And every moment passed made her more upset, though not an ounce of her frustration showed.Â
âI havenât seen you since-- since your birthday. That was? That was.. That was a year ago right? Right? Tell me I didnât...âÂ
No wonder her call had been so distressed. She brushed a hand across that delicate cheek.
âOh Poppy...Iâm sorry.â
