He catches the woman gracefully. “Why hello there, Raven. Good to see you again.”

Raven wasn’t sure what she was more caught off guard about, the fact that this no faced blog of a person had snuck up behind her, kidnapped her, and then threw her at her boss... or the fact that he didn’t even seemed surprised and just easily caught her.

“Under those papers, perhaps? I do believe one of the agents may have dropped off for review some device the technology department has been working on.”

In this fandom... I ship a lot of things that are popular. I don’t really have more than 1 ship that I’m against but I’m not saying it here :)

FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU?:

Talk to me. I don’t mind already existing relationships before our muses interact but those must be talked about beforehand so we know their backstory.

He nodded, then headed off, returning only a few moments later with his hair more thoroughly dried and a towel draped around his still-damp shoulders.

With a small chuckle, he picked up the bowl, then opened his refrigerator to pull out eggs. “Come now, you’re not being picky. I just want to know what you like. Food’s supposed to make people happy…” He paused for a moment as he cracked the eggs, then the smirk returned. “And besides, if you don’t tell me, I’ll just make tomato omelettes.”

He glanced over at her. “Ah, did you turn on the stove yet? Set the pan with some oil on the there so it’ll start warming up.”

She had done as requested a moment ago, thankfully his stove hadn’t been one of the more complicated ones that she had to figure out just how to turn on.

“A tomato omelette sounds... interesting.” she admitted. “I do not recall ever having one before.”

Nodding, she did as she was told, though it took a moment to find the oil since she was not familiar with his kitchen.

“I live to serve, Ma’am.” It was a common response to any question. This was Raven’s livelihood and she would do whatever you boss asked of her, no matter how corrupted it was. Such was the mind process of someone that had secretly learned of being a fractured dimension.

“No Ma’am. I am ready to go at any time.” Raven stated, clicking her heels together before saluting her boss. “My weapons are in top shape, as am I, and are ready to head out at any moment.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Turning her back to the other woman, casually, as if she did this all the time, she reached up behind her to undo a fastening, then shrugged off her dress and stepped out of it like she was a butterfly shedding its cocoon. The motion revealed a dark, vaguely sun-shaped mark, looking almost but not quite like a tattoo in the middle of her back, between and easily spreading over her shoulder blades–she didn’t seemed to notice and/or care.

With the same quick movement, she scooped up a bundle of clothes not dissimilar to other agents’ and easily slipped those on before turning back and began to walk to the door, gesturing for the other woman to follow. She picked up her gun, then her swords. Best not to be too careful.

“Come along then.”

Raven didn’t react to her boss stripping, as it was just another woman’s body, nothing too out of the ordinary, though the darkened tattoo like design against Victor’s skin almost surprised Raven.

He sighed, then tugged on his bangs one more time and let go, examining his gloves after he did so. After a moment, he let out another despondent breath.

“Hell, it’s going to just end up in the food and make it taste strange, isn’t it? I’m going to go get another towel.”

Turning to leave again, his lips curled in a slight smile. “Well, it would help if you told me what you wanted–but turning on the stove and getting out a bowl is a good start.”

“Not a good idea to digest dye.” she agreed, nodding. 

If it got him to fully dry his hair then it was fine. Wouldn’t lie, he looked damn good with dripping wet hair that was causing it to cling to him and dampening his shirt but she didn’t want him to catch a cold.

He flinched slightly at her touch to his bangs, then tried to hide it with a puzzled stare at the offending piece of hair. “Is it still? It just doesn’t seem to want to hold this time…”

“I’m sure it’ll be fine.” He waved a hand dismissively. “Food comes first.”

“Hair that is dyed too much losses it’s ability to hold the dye.” She stated. She knew from the people around her, always complaining about their hair not holding the dye as long as it use to.

“Do you have any preferences, or foods I should avoid?” he asked unceremoniously–he hated cooking for just himself, and as far as he was concerned, her staying meant she wanted food, so he was going to make something either way.

She stared for a moment before walking over to him. “Sir, your dye is coming out of your hair.” she stated, reaching up and flicking a drop of water from his bangs. “I know you wear dark but dyeing your clothes with watered down hairdye isn’t good.”

“For now, let’s get your hair dried before cooking.”

He really hoped that she didn’t think he’d pull something like this while Elle was in the house–or rather, he would have hoped that if he hadn’t been completely out of it.

Victor blinked, staring for a second to process what she was asking him, then shrugged. “Stay, and I’ll make you something too.”

With a wave, he headed off to do what he had said; namely get dressed and take a shower.

Her boss was acting drunk. Best to listen out for any noise, just in case he falls or slips... or anything, really. To top it all off, he had just brought up making them food. What was she going to do with him? This was troubling, to say the least.

He waved a hand at her, his voice a little slower and more casual than usual.

“Oh yes, everything’s fine. Elle’s just off with her grandparents for the week and I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night, you know… Well, it’s not like I sleep much anyway, but it was less than that. But it’s not anything to be concerned about, I’m just a little shaky from all the coffee this morning, that’s all.” 

He raised one hand, stretching a bit before letting his arms fall again, then shook his head. “I should probably get dressed… definitely need a shower…”

Wait... she was over here without the little chaperone? Raven hoped little Elle didn’t learn about this. That would cast her in a bad light in the little lady’s eyes.

Staying in place, she cocked her head. “Shouldn’t you eat something then?”
