THAT WAS THE NICE THING ABOUT HAVING VIC AS A BEST FRIEND, she never questioned finn’s seemingly random thought process. the blonde always rolled with it, which is probably why they’d been friends so long. not many could keep up with her. that, and something about the pair just worked. “vic, seriously if you move in, i don’t even care if your cooking is bad, i’ll eat it.” she promised with a laugh. “i’m so tired of take out for dinner and toast for breakfast.” finn sighed softly as she gladly returned the hug. squeezing her eyes shut as she gave vic as squeeze, finn smiled faintly. it really had been too long since they’d done a proper girls night and truth be told, it had finn wondering if adulthood would always feel as lonely as it did lately. victoria’s presence alone assured her, maybe not. “we can sort through some of them together, there’s no way either of us have the patience to get all of those records done together.” another laugh as she pulled away and settled back into the couch. finn rested her chin in her hand as she listened to vic recount how things were going with eli. a smile tugged at her lips as she reached out and playfully tapped the other. “it’s not weird at all. i know, kinda surprising, but i’m really happy for the both of you and it doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable or left out or anything.” she promised, still smiling. there was no hint of hesitation or resentment, finn was entirely and genuinely happy for the pair. though, her smile wavered a little when asked about what’s been new and exciting for her. well, nothing. a forced laugh. “oh, i don’t know. just the same stuff as always. mostly just like work and hanging out here.”
moving in with your best friend was something vic could see herself doing. it’s like she didn’t even have to think about it. she’s twenty, and of course she loves being home with everyone, but she longed to have some space of her own. she wouldn’t mind sharing with finn, who was asking after all. it’s not as if she was intruding! this was good! “ it’s okay! eatable! i’m learning. ” she reminded, laughing along with her. “ there is nooo way i’ll do take out and toast forever. i’m big on pasta and breakfast foods, but that’s all for now! ” at least she was trying. vic figured if she was going to feel guilty about eating at some points, it might as well be good food to feel guilty for. and she had plenty of people to cook for, so it was a win-win. “ probably not. we’ll get distracted too easily! ” she said, though that was something finn had an absolute knack for. music. vic wished she was like that and adored finn’s eye for good records. the blonde stretched her back, then pulling her feet underneath herself. it was nice telling finn about eli, sometimes it was like word vomit not to mention her if she was honest. “ it’s not surprising! i was just making sure! ” she held up her hands in defense with a chuckle. “ thank you though, really. ” she listened to the other, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. “ see, i’ve gotta get you out more. we have to get out more! it’s partly lima’s fault. ” a shake of her head, before a reassuring smile was sent finn’s way. “ i get you, though. you’re too good at your job, and it’s pretty awesome. i will be over-promoting you on the radio in true fashion. ”
