ACE Comic Con - Glendale, AZ
My third comic con didn’t went so well. I went just to see Chris Evans, I had his VIP and he cancel on Sunday, that was when we were taking our pictures. I also was eager to meet Karl Urban for the first time and he also canceled. Oh well, better luck next time.
At least I could see Chris Saturday at the panel. First time seeing him with no beard what so ever. It was like I was seeing Cap America.
I went with one friend and made another that crashed in our room when her roommate ditch her and her service dog at the airport.
Saturday I had only one photo ops with Sebastian. I asked for a particular pose, didn’t explain well. He said no, I said OK. I probably made a sad face because he said 1 second later, maybe we can do a little. He did his part and I didn’t do mine. As soon he touched me the brain when out to the la la land.
Sunday I had a bunch of photo ops and I was very eager to take my pictures with Chris. That was when we got an e-mail saying all photos and autographs with Chris was put on hold because he was sick. From there to be fully canceled it was maybe 2 hours… I was so sad. I flew from L.A. just for this.
ACE Wanted to do partial refunds, I said don’t even dare bitch.
While all that was happening I went to take my second picture with Sebastian. He remember me from the day before. It amazed me because, come on! It was like 3,000 of us taking pictures with him. I’m nothing special or memorable for him to remember. Anyway, he looked at me and asked how my Sunday was going?
Funny thing like such simple words had a profound impact on me. It just lifted my spirits. And he knew it because he proceed to hug the life out of me.
The rest of our day was running from one side to the other getting our refunds. Me and my new friend Sienna had Chris VIPs. Nobody knew anything, contradicted information, the venue was a nightmare. Photo ops on the ground, autographs on the 4th floor. UGHHHH! Never again. NEVER!
Not all was lost… Manage to get awesome photos from my friends:
Well I still had a dual photo ops with Chris and Sebastian. Got a refund for Chris part and took it with Sebastian only.
The conversation before the photo with Sebastian was:
Me: “ I’m having deja vu”
Sienna: “So sorry that my dog punched you in the nuts” (that had happen earlier in the day when she went to take her pic with him. Her dog, Bucky was a bit excited”
The photographer took the picture and … nobody moved!!!! We all stayed glued together. LOL
It was so funny. And then the photographer said, another one. And we perked a bit more and this was what came out.
When I was leaving I turned around and asked Sebastian to keep us posted about Chris and he “ I will” and he looked very concerned.
We left laughing hard and this picture now put a smile on my face every time I look at it.
When I was waiting to embark I saw this dude with a Hot Toys Winter Soldier box and I thought how odd. I should talk to him and ask what he think of it, since I have one too.
When I’m at LAX waiting for my bag, I see the guy again. Oh and behold, it’s Anthony Mackie!
I talked to him a bit. The dude don’t smile. He was talking with another passenger about all this rape allegations doing the rounds in Hollywood.
