Following our relaunch earlier on in the month, we’ve introduced new systems, expanded our canon content, and launched our first major site-wide event. There’s been a lot happening across time and space, so here’s everything you need to know so far.

Board Relaunch:

After our hiatus, the forum is officially back and active once more. Alongside the relaunch, the admin team has carried out a full sweep of the board, including:

• Activity checks across members and characters • Thread reviews and clean-up • Updates to plot pages and trackers • General organisation improvements

This gives us a fresh, clean foundation to build from moving forward.

Member vs Roleplay Account:

To keep the forum organised and immersive, we’ve clarified the structure of:

• Member Accounts – You as the player (OOC activity, management, points) • Roleplay Accounts – Your characters (IC posting and story progression)

This system helps separate player activity from character storytelling and keeps threads clean and easy to follow.

Roleplay Section Visibility:

We have reviewed whether to open our roleplay sections to guests and non-members. After discussion, we have decided that roleplay areas will remain member-only. This decision helps us:

• Protect member writing and creativity • Minimise the risk of plagiarism • Maintain a safe and controlled storytelling space

Canon Characters – No Application Trial:

We are currently trialling a new system where canon characters no longer require a full application. This means you can:

• Claim a canon character • Jump straight into roleplay • Get involved in plots immediately

Original Characters still require applications to maintain world-building consistency.

This trial is designed to encourage activity, accessibility, and more canon interaction across the board.

New Canon Expansion – Dalek List:

The Dalek Canon List has been added, expanding one of the most iconic fractions in the Whoniverse. This includes:

• Dalek ranks and hierarchy • Dalek-human hybrids • Expanded Skaro lore • Kaled and Thal civilisations • Notable Kaled and Thal characters

This opens up new opportunities for stories set across Skaro, the Time War, and beyond.

Point System Update:

The Points System is now live with a fresh structure moving forward:

• All previous points have been recalculated for fairness • March points are being tracked and will be added at the end of the month • Going forward, points will be added on the 28th of each month

Member account points will begin next month, focusing on OOC activity and engagement. If you believe any points are missing, you can still request a review.

At midnight, time stopped and reality began to fracture. Teams have been formed, and plotting is in progress across the board. Some teams are already moving into Phase One, while others are still preparing their storylines.

Phase One – The Stopping

Teams may begin this phase when ready, exploring:

New members can still join the event at any time, whether by joining a team, starting a thread, or introducing their character through the fracture.

March has laid the groundwork for a new era of the forum. With new systems in place, expanded canon content, and a major event underway, the universe is more open and more unstable than ever before. New stories are forming. New alliances are being tested and the fracture is only just beginning.

At exactly 00:00, every clock stopped. Not failed. Not reset. Not broken. Stopped.

Across cities, across systems, across devices both human-made and alien, time itself seemed to hesitate as if something unseen had reached into the fabric of reality and held it in place. For one impossible moment, the universe did not move.

And then, at 00:01, everything started again. Alarms triggered instantly across multiple global networks. UNIT facilities lit up with simultaneous alerts. Torchwood systems registered unstable Rift activity. Temporal readings spiked beyond measurable thresholds.

It wasn’t localised. It wasn’t contained. It wasn’t understood. This was the beginning of The Fracture Protocol.

INCIDENT CLASSIFICATION: ANOMALY 00:01

Shortly after the event now referred to as The Stopping, a solider was recovered following exposure to a fracture site, a tear in time itself. Area was put into quarantine and people nearby into UNIT lockdown. The solider was not alone when the fracture occurred, but he was the only one who came back… unchanged.

Or so it seemed. Upon arrival at UNIT medical, the subject presented with:

Irregular physiological readings

Unstable biological markers

No immediately identifiable pathogen

Signs of temporal interference within organic systems

Initial assessment suggested this was not a conventional infection. Further investigation has since raised a more concerning possibility:

Something has entered the human body… that does not belong to time.

All available departments have been mobilised. However, primary investigation has been assigned to a specialised response group: A cross-disciplinary unit formed under pressure, not design. Pulled together by proximity to the event, existing connections, and the immediate need for expertise across multiple fields.

And then, it started again. Most people will never realise it happened. They will check their watches, reset their clocks, blame faulty batteries or brief power failures. They will move on, unaware that reality itself faltered for a single, fragile second.

But not everyone, some felt it, some saw it and some stood at the centre of it. In Sheffield, inside a quiet workshop on an ordinary estate, something ancient and impossible woke. A piece of alien technology, broken, silent, forgotten, suddenly came to life. Not because it was repaired, but because something called to it. Something vast. Something wrong.

A fracture, across the universe, similar moments ripple outward. Temporal anomalies. Reality distortions. Moments that do not belong. But this, this is only the beginning.

The Fracture Protocol is a site-wide event exploring what happens when time begins to break. Phase One, known as “The Stopping”, marks the first sign that something is deeply wrong with the fabric of reality. At midnight, time faltered and in that moment, fractures began to form.

Across London, Cardiff, New York, Gallifrey’s ruins, and even Skaro’s dead plains, time fractures into overlapping realities. Moments begin repeating. People glimpse alternate versions of themselves. Entire city blocks flicker between timelines. And in the heart of it all? A signal. Three words repeating across space and time:

“CONTAIN THE FRACTURE.”

But no one knows who sent it. An ancient pre-Time War failsafe device, buried beneath Earth and linked to Gallifreyan technology, has activated. It was designed as a last-resort containment measure if reality itself ever destabilised. The problem? It’s malfunctioning. Instead of sealing fractures, it’s widening them. And something else is slipping through.

Teams have now been formed, and planning is underway. Some teams are already deep into plotting, while others are still developing their direction and that’s completely okay. This event is designed to unfold at different paces across the board. At present, discussions are actively underway for:

Each team will experience this phase differently depending on their location, dynamics, and choices.

Some roleplay communities allow public viewing so visitors can explore threads before joining, and we carefully considered whether this would be the right direction for our board. After discussion, we have decided that the roleplay areas will remain private and visible to members only.

Our stories are created collaboratively by the community, and keeping the roleplay sections within the member area helps us protect the work and creativity of our writers. Unfortunately, public forums can make it easier for writing to be copied or reposted elsewhere without permission, and we want to minimise the risk of plagiarism while respecting the time and effort members put into their characters and stories.

That said, we absolutely still welcome people who are curious about the board or want to read along without actively roleplaying. If you would like to browse the roleplay threads, follow ongoing plots, or simply explore the universe of the site, you are more than welcome to create a Member Account. This will give you access to the full board if you do not wish to roleplay with us, while also helping us keep the community secure. A Member Account should be registered with your nickname and not a roleplay character name to save on confusion.
