Victoria is very intellectual and smart, she was always eager to learn and basically the person who would go the extra mile in school and college. She was an avid reader and would often be found in her books when not working on her articles for the paper. Though she is in somewhat mainly an extrovert, she is definitely trying to get out of her shell and become more confident in herself and more outgoing.

BACKGROUND / BIO
Trigger warnings/content warnings: Death, Bullying, car accident
Victoria grew up in New York, it was home to her for 27 years and she loved it. Her childhood was very good, her parents were always known as an optimist around the area they lived and with that it helped her be optimistic through everything, even through the bullying of high school. She was always upbeat and out going through her whole life, and people either loved that about her. At high school, people found her obsession with reading in the library a bit weird that they turned to bullying her, they found their only way to deal with something they didn’t understand was by bullying her to make her feel a bit like a loser. This never changed how she felt and how Victoria grew stronger from this and really did learn from this. She was always known to have a book in her hand, she loved reading, and she got it from her dad who had published at least three or four books and she fell in love with reading and knew she wanted to write for something when she was older.
Victoria was never someone who viewed the world like everyone else did, she viewed it with hope and fiction, she chose to believe the world is what you view it to be and if you view it to be this amazing place then it will be, she was very open to new adventures and open to seeing what places had to offer. She knew when she grew up travel was something she wanted to do to explore new places. Being adventurous and imaginative helped her get into her creative side of writing and coming up with small fictional stories that she is very proud of, but she keeps to herself at all times. With all this, she ended up going to NYU after school to study Journalism with a minor in creative writing as she wanted to continue working towards actually being a published author in the future.
As she graduated college at the age of 22, she honestly had no clue what she was doing, how to get her name out there, so she went to work in Barnes and Noble and working there gave her the chance to see some of her favourite authors come for signings and talk about their books and get advice from them. By the age of 26 she felt confident, she started writing her first book slowly but surely which was kind of based on her college experience. As this went on, something tragic happened that threw her off for a long while, her parents were out for dinner on their own one night and they didn’t make it home, unfortunately they got into a car accident and they didn’t make it and this threw Victoria off because she was very close with her parents and losing them was the worst thing that could happen to her and for a long time she couldn’t cope with anything or even focus on writing.
It took her a long time to realise she didn’t want to live in New York any longer, she needed to leave, she needed to runaway from all the memories she has from living there with her parents and every time she would go to do something, she would get emotional, so she decided that she needed a fresh start and to move. She wanted somewhere different and where she could really focus on her writing and she decided to move to Merrick, Maine. She soon moved there and found a way to put her major to use and applied for a job at Merrock Times and surprisingly got it. Since the age of 28 she has loved working there and living there, she is hoping to make it to editor soon but either way she is enjoying it. It had taken her a while to realise what she wanted in life and that was a love her parents had and kids of her own.

Vick had been exploring blades for the day and she had planned to meet her best friend Elliot there. She was extremely close with him and was very glad for his friendship. The festive season was a nostalgic season for her, because Christmas was her and her parents favourite time of year and doing it without them now could be emotion but she made the most of it. She was on her third hot chocolate in the space for a few hours, she believed she needed to stop but she was really enjoying it. Her and Elliot agreed to meet at the Food Hut to get some food and catch up together. As she approached the hut they agreed on she saw him standing there, she had a hot chocolate for him. She smiled. "Hey you." She smiled as she passed him the hot chocolate, "I brought this for you." She smiled before she gave him a quick hug, "Please stop me from getting any more hot chocolate after this." She smiled up at him.
"Requests?" Lou asked, quirking an eyebrow as she looked up to her companion. She was camped by the heaters with her guitar in her lap, and though she was wearing two gloves that didn't match, and a hat coated in dog fur the instrument was immaculate. It always was. "I will play for hot chocolate." She was thinking of putting out a sign. Have it be her first business venture now that her employment had dried up. "Though keep it in the lines, we got little ears out on the ice."
Vick was walking around looking at everything The Blades had to offer and there was a lot to expore even if she didn't get involved in the fun activities. As she walked passed she noticed someone with a guitar and she smiled, "Well I can bring you all the hot chocolate you want. I love hearing acoustic music." She smiled, "Well how about Winter Wonderland? Or you can surprise me with your favourite song."
If there was one thing that was guaranteed to make Cage feel like a kid all over again, it was spending time with a sled in hand, and his son racing him down a hill. Thankfully, even at his great big age of fourteen, Colton still enjoyed spending time with his dad, wasn't embarrassed to spend time with him doing silly, boyish things, or just hanging out with cocoa in hand. Which is where they currently were, Colton eyeing a group of teenagers his age who were engrossed in a snowball fight, and Cage warring with himself about whether or not he should tell him to go play. Eventually, it went that way, the younger Newman heading off, and leaving a bundled up Cage sitting on a bench by the ice skating rink, watching everyone making their way around, some laughing, some falling, some making it look like they had done this their entire lives. And then he was aware of someone dropping down next to him, taking a sip of his cocoa before offering Victoria a smile. "Thinking of getting out there on the ice? Or are you more of a build-a-snowman type?"
Vick loved snow and loved visiting areas with it and she wanted to experience fun winter and snow activities but they all seemed to scare her. So she decided to go to a little hut at Blades to get a hot chocolate to keep her warm. Winter was always beautiful and she admired hte ambitious people who loved going to down the hills in the snow and she used to do it when she was younger but now she was super scared. She took a seat next to a Cage, before she saw him look at her and smiled, "I really want to but honestly I am so scared to even try but hopefully I will get up there. Otherwise I will enjoy my hot chocolate and maybe make a snowman." She laughed a little.
Most of the time that Jason spent hanging out with Victoria was time spent bumping into each other here or there. Milkshakes on a stressful day, some long conversation at the botanical garden. But he genuinely liked the woman, thought that she was kind and sweet and funny, and a good friend to have around. Which was why when he had seen her at the market earlier that week, talking over dinner ideas, he had invited her over for dinner, promising to make her a pasta dish that she wouldn't soon forget. After all, he did love to cook, and he didn't often have people to cook for.
The sun had just started going down when he heard her tires on the driveway, ears finely tuned to listen to any sound, especially since he lived so far out in the country, removed from other sounds. He glanced up, then, and smiled when he heard a knock at the door, and turned to open it, tossing his dish towel over his shoulder. "You're just in time, dinner's almost ready."
Vick had spent time with Jace several times when they had bumped into each other but she was very happy that he had invited her to dinner at his. She enjoyed his company and spending time with him was always fun. When he had promised her aa pasta dish she was quite excited to see what it was going to be like.
She was dressed hin a t-shirt and jeans and she was early or she thought she was early so she waited a bit outside before knocking the door as she didn't want to seem over eager. As she knocked the door, she waited for him to open. She saw the door open and she smiled as she looked over at him, "Oh thank goodness, I thought I was going to be ridiculously early. Oh it smells wonderful."

"Then add in all of the popular holiday flavors, and I suppose it never really does end," he shook his head. But that was the beauty of it. Same went with food, or alcoholic beverages, or ice cream flavors. Someone could always find something or other that they loved and wanted to eat. "Alright, I'm trusting you," he shot her a teasing, skeptical look as he ordered, and then stepped to the side to wait for the drink. "But if I hate it, I'm never, ever speaking to you again. Obviously."
"Oh all of the holiday drinks are amazing i love them! Do you have a favourite holiday flavour? Or do you stick to your normal?" Vick was a massive Holiday coffee drinker, she loved all the different flavours. She laughed, "Well obviously but I believe you will absolutely love it." She smiled.
"Nothing wrong with getting into the spirit of things, don't let anyone tell you it's too much. March to your own beat I say." He grinned while offering up some advice he had learned years ago. "It only comes once a year so why not embrace it? Right?" He said as his wife joined him, looking around at some of the decor. "Hm, we go for more nature vibes. Like candles or room sprays that envision a camp fire or fall foods. We decorate for Halloween but we don't go all out spooky and scary." His wife nodded and agreed, "what about you?" He asked as he put a small item into the cart.
Vick smiled, "You know you make a very good point there and i think I will. I love what I do especially in this season." She smiled looking over at him for a moment and nods, "Definitely got to make the most out of the few months we get of it." She smiled and nodded, "Oh that sounds lovely. I am sure that it will look great." She nodded, "I am going to woodsy but cozy vibes, with a lot of fake leaves around and candles too, can't forget candles."
Not really sure why he had gone down to the store, JD made the best of it anyway. Presuming the aisles, he looked to see if anything stood out. There was a ton of cool stuff there but did he really need it? Did he really need another piece of art? Did he really need another framed photo of the town? Probably not, but he looked them anyway. He hadn't really decorated much since he lived in a condo and the only decorating he could do was on the inside. Though he did always enjoy a good fall candle, even if it made him seem soft. "Yeah, it's always fun to decorate, gives you something to do and look forward to" he offered up while smiling.
Vick smiled as she started looking at the wreaths as she looked at the guy she had spoken too as she got excited over the wreaths. She looked over at him as she ran a hand through her hair and nodded, "Definitely, I also just love decorating my house for the season to make it feel more cozy. But maybe I have picked up a bit too much." She laughed as she pointed to her trolley that was nearly over flowing, before she moved onto the candles on the same table, "What is the scent that reminds you of fall?"
"It's a great time of year, and I love seeing everyone in their cozy hats and everything." He smiled, reaching for the scarf. He wasn't looking for himself, but it really did suit him, he thought. "Well, it takes all type, Christmas types, Halloween types..."
Vick stood there and smiled, "I love being coazy to be honest and making everything look and feel cozy." She smiled looking over at him for a moment and nodded.

Did anyone else get the blues right after Halloween ended? I think the whiplash between seeing super spooky Halloween commercials to going right into super festive Christmas commercials made me feel some type of way. I don't know why, but I always feel like it's too early to talk about Christmas until after Thanksgiving. What about you? Do you like to go straight to Christmas or do you wait? And if you don't celebrate either holiday, how do you manage to deal with everything until the New Year?
Oh I really did, I love Halloween and I can't believe it's over I want to go back and repeat it. I might have a Halloween just for myself in January, is that sad? I go straight to Christmas, to be honest I feel more exicted for Christmas then thanksgiving anyway.
Man that 5K always feels good to complete! But I am sure glad it's over, now I can focus on the upcoming holidays and prepare myself for it. I'm so ready and excited for the holiday season! What about you? Did you enjoy the 5k? Did you participate in it or did you cheer everyone on?
Honestly wish I never did it, I am not a runner and running always makes me more tired rather then alive. But maybe I will be thanking myself. I am trying to be more active. I participated but I don't think I will be again.
A very, very sad amount of Eddie's job was attempting to fix whatever the general public did to the communal computers at the library. Sure, sometimes he had actual things to do and actual responsibilities to follow through with, but nine times out of ten, he just waited until he was needed. And today he'd been needed to help an older woman log into her Facebook, though he spent about ten minutes gently explaining to her that he couldn't because he didn't know her password, no matter how many times she reassured him that it was okay because Facebook did and it would remember it for her. It was a frustratingly slow process, going around in circles with her before she finally accepted that she could just use her own computer at home to check her messages and evidently left to do so. Eddie, newly exhausted, closed out the tabs and glanced over at a person sitting at the table nearby that had surely overheard the entire debacle.
"Did you need some help logging into your Facebook?" he asked, weary but clearly joking. "I didn't know her password, but if we work together we could probably figure yours out."
Vick was in a writing mood for once in a while and she needed to get out of her house and since she had a day off work, she decided to go to the library to write. She needed the distraction sos she sat at a table in the middle of the library she didn't care for noise she worked better with noise. She sat there running a hand through her hair for a brief moment as she heard the guy who seemed like a tech guy talking to an older women about Facebook, she wanted to laugh but she couldn't, it didn't seem fair too.
She smiled as the guy approached ehr after the lady left, "That sounded painful for you. So I think I will ask someone else for my facebook problem." She laughed a little before shaking her head, "I'm kidding by the way."
Agreeing with the other, Theo nodded with a chuckle. "Oh I can imagine, trust me." With the way online shopping worked today and plus people still needed to mail things whether they were gifts, objects, or bills, it never ended. And Theo understood it. He hated it but he totally understood why things were they way they were. "Yeah, after a long shift, it sucks having to wait in line but I guess they're just doing their jobs too huh?"
Vick glanced over at the guy for a brief moment as she ran a hand through her hair for a moment. She knew patience was a virtue but it did bore her to wait in the queue. She nodded, "Yeah that is very true. Guess we just need to be patient with waiting. It doesn't help that i am currently so hungry."
"I love a warm, fall color scheme, cozy sweaters and high school football games." He grinned. The latter example took him back to his own high school years and while he didn't really miss his tumultuous teen years he did miss cheerleading. As she asked why he didn't celebrate Christmas, he gently pulled out the Star of David necklace that was hiding underneath his button-down shirt collar. "Mostly because I'm Jewish. My dad's not, but his family didn't celebrate it growing up either. I have nothing against it - it makes winter in New York feel magical - but I don't have much emotional attachment to it myself. As for Halloween, I think I'm gonna pass out candy at my parents' house in the suburbs and obviously there's the Halloween Masquerade. What about you?"
Vick smiled, "Oh anything that gives warm and cozy is the right theme. Not there is ever a right theme." She smiled looking over at the guy for a brief moment as she ran a hand through her hair for a moment. She nodded, "Well that i can understand. Oh Christmas in New York was always magcal. I miss it." She said quietly looking over at the guy nodding, "Halloween is great for am any reasons. I was just going t ogo to the party, or have a movie night"

Although Vick wasn't the biggest drinker in the world and she didn't walways enoy drinking she didn't mind some experiences of it. She had agreed to go to the winery with Olivia and it was something she was excited for. She had never been before and to go wine testing there was going to be good. Vick was dressed in a blue flowy dress and she loved it, it was one she had picked up a few weeks back and never regretted.
Vick knew this could end messily but she actually didnt care for once, her nerves were in a good place and she was more excited rather than nervous. As they sat at the table they got their first glass of wine and she looked at the girl, "I wil lbe honest, I am not an avid wine drinker so I don't know how to know if a wine is good or not." She giggled taking a sip of her wine for a moment. "Is this too fruity or is it just right? I have no idea."
"I wouldn't say that it's unbearable, or even bad." Kaia responded honestly. "It's just tedious and I don't think my brain really feels up for it at the moment." The blonde snickered, closing her laptop. It was almost as if it were a shield for the aroma of the coffee, because as soon as the laptop was closed it hit her like a ton of bricks.
"What do you recommend here?" She went off topic, allowing her stomach to guide the conversation as opposed to her typical chaos.
"Maybe you just need to take a break." She said smiling over at the girl for a brief moment as she ran a hand through her hair for a moment. The girl was always overwhelmed or sometimes stressed when it came to writing articles that she would take a break for a bit and then come back to it.
"Well depends what you're looking for? Coffee? I would recommened their gingerbread lattes. Food wise any of the pies are great." She smiled looking over at her.
