This scene was both beautiful and heartbreaking to watch. Ive watched cog three times now and it still makes me tear up.

The silence as Newt takes a moment to gather himself over the loss of Leta, before turning. Seeing his strong elder brother, completly broken. Probably the first time since the war hes seen him like this. He realises, just how much Leta meant to him. He understands.

And Theseus, despite his need for comfort in this scene, looks over at Newt but doesnt walk over to him. He knows it makes Newt uncomfortable.

But then Newt suddenly moves over to him and pulls him into an embrace. After years of Theseus worrying and raising his ecentric younger brother. Despite their misunderstandings, this was just about two brothers loving one and other. In that moment they only had each other. Newt wanted Theseus to know that he loved him and that he was there. He allowed him to break down and that it was ok to cry.

It’s FAAAAATE!!!

Newt: My brother is a hugger.

bright side is that the student union, the university, and basically everyone has strongly denounced this. they haven’t gotten permission to host their event and most likely won’t. if they do decide to show up anyway, everyone who goes to u of t please stay safe!!
