Lowkey I mightt redraw Shu’s colour pallet since this was the first time drawing his uniform (kinda want it completely black or dark yellow now).

Lowkey, as of this year I have been way too obsessed with this ship its actually quite ridiculous. After my assignments, I might lowkey send some scripts I’ve written of the two from discord. On that note, I am somewhat planning on a Tokonatsu fic special that features some tokobuki as well as ex suohbuki. Not sure if I’ll ever start or finish it but it’s definitely a cute fic to consider.

OH MY- ehehehe very interesting topic for these two.

- Lui and Free don’t really kiss each other much, mainly just love bites. As in, Lui biting Free’s neck, hands or arms so he gets distracted and not bite himself.

- While Free is affectionate, he doesn’t overstep Lui’s boundaries. As such, Lui would need to initiate the first kiss before Free could consider kissing him back.

- Lui only kisses Free when he impresses him, so it’s very apparent when Free wants kisses.

- A bit suggestive, but they’ve tried deepening the kiss a few times. For the first, it was mainly out of curiosity, and for the rest, whenever they felt like experimenting. While it wasn’t entirely bad, Lui prefers tons of light kisses than one long one. Free is neutral about the topic, only caring to be with Lui.

- Back on the deep kisses, Free likes to lick Lui’s teeth a lot, testing out how sharp they really are. Moreover, between the two, Free likes to experiment more, seeing what reactions the other makes. Oftentimes, this leads to Lui scolding him halfway through their kiss for goofing off.

- Whenever Free gets upset, Lui would pull him in and give out a few kisses. Depending on his reaction, Lui can estimate how badly Free is feeling. (If Free instantly switches, it was something minor, but if he still acts seclusive, it is much more serious) That said, Free always leans into the touch, since any affectionate Lui is always worth it in his book.

I had a theory that the bey avatars used to look like their bladers - particularly the ones they have a strong resonance with. However, due to them turning into beys and spirits, they slowly lost their appearance and minds to become a new entity.

Vollr is a much strict and reserved character who aspires for justice in the world, due to the corruption that exists in her era. While she is more like Shu in terms of her personality, she has the same aura that attracts people like Valt’s and his unwavering determination.

Scuid is an outgoing character who causes mayhem for the fun of it. He likes playing jokes and teases his peers nearly 24/7. That said, he is a perfectionist and a heavy observant like Shu. In fact, his playful personality is usually a ploy to analyse his opponents.

OH JEALOUSYY- this is gonna be fun

- Between the two, Free gets jealous the most. However, since Lui rarely gets close to anyone, the event rarely happens. However, if one of Lui’s close mates were to do anything intimate with him, Free would pull him back or act more clingy around him. It pisses Lui off, but at most he just pushes back.

- When Lui gets hit on, Free would know, as if a radar just went off. If he catches someone heading towards Lui with romantic interest, he will make sure they never get a chance to ask. Fortunately, Lui does like the act as he only considers Free the only candidate to date.

- When Free gets hit on, Lui would most likely watch. He trusts him enough to know he won’t cheat behind his back, so he doesn’t do much but observe. However, if they were disrespectful or entitled towards Free, he will step in and pull him away.

- Free is not afraid to hide his disgust or frustration. Since he doesn’t like gaining too much attention, he would often glare at his opponents briefly to scare them off, or glare at them from a distance. It’s extremely creepy and it’s enough to scare off most of Lui’s admirers.

- While Lui doesn’t interfere just as much, he does show frustration, albeit barely. It’s mannerisms that no one would notice aside from someone close. In fact, he tends to get too absorbed staring at them to really notice his surroundings.

- Free would always look at Lui whenever someone’s flirting with him and smile at his reaction. Just a moment of relief to know that Lui does crave his attention to an extent. While sweet, it does mislead a bunch of his fans.

OMGG MY OWN OC/AU ASKS??? Eheheheheh

His relationship with Mitsuki - now Solveig ooo - is a tad complicated. While they are siblings and tease each other in a sibling way, Solveig does act more like a mother to Lui and vice versa. As such, he doesn’t really see her as an older sister but a mother figure to him while Solveig sees him more as a son rather than a younger brother.

Lui doesn’t speak about his direct family to anyone, even with Kol. It isn’t really something he likes to remember and he wants to keep as much of a distance between them.

Kol is the total opposite of Lui. He is much more playful and emotional than him, as well as extroverted and talkative. However, as the adult he is, he knows when to dial it down around Lui and he’s immensely patient and considerate over his health and feelings.

Aside from characters like Shu, Valt, Gou and Kris, they view their relationship as stagnated or ‘empty’. Since Lui isn’t openly affectionate around Free or form extravagant dates with his wealth, people assume he doesn’t care about him. Because of how ‘distant’ they are, even their shippers look a tad delusional when they pull up their evidence. Over time, however, their friends later accept their relationship as it is and the two just ignore what everyone else has to say about them.

I think Lui does respect Suoh, to an extent. As an individual, I’ve imagined them being friends or better yet acquaintances thanks to their families. However as a blader, Lui probably looks down at him. It is why Suoh was able to meet Lui when he usually prioritises beyblade over anything else. But that’s just a heads canon of mine.

Based on Lui’s reaction to Suoh’s appearance, Suoh either left a good impression him, as in he had potential to become worthy enough to fight again in the future but he eventually forgot his appearance until Suoh introduced himself, or he booked a meeting with him through one of his superior, given as he didn’t know who Suoh was until he introduced himself.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS QUESTION - I saw it literally on the day it was sent but had to follow one ask per day rule.

It was really a gradual process for Lui to grow attached to Free. However, it was really all Free’s doing that helped Lui grow more fonder about him. Performative male role, truly.

Before Valt came in the picture, where they had only each other to train with, Lui learnt to grow patient and forgiving over others thanks to Free’s antics. Then, to grow experimental and creative with his battle tactics without restraint due to his overwhelming power. I’m not going to say that he fell for him because he helped his character arc. Rather the accumulation to Free’s existence.

Lui doesn’t need to care about Free’s feelings. Free is too nonchalant to take offence or care about the awkward silence. He exists simply to train with in Lui’s eyes. A perfect candidate of a sparring partner with the only flaws being his attendance and snark attitude at the time.

However that isn’t how he ‘fell’ for Free. That’s just how he got comfortable around him. Free was the first to realise he has a crush on Lui and with Valt as his sparring partner, he wanted to hang out more than train with Lui. So, he gradually changed their sparring matches as just hangovers. He would make excuses to take more breaks and simply reduce the time spent on Beyblade altogether. Free wanted to know Lui better and he was willing to wait as long as possible to get those results. Curiosity in a sense. While they were still ‘wasteful,’ it was the first time Lui never felt bothered by it. Hell, he actually found some entertainment hanging out with Free too. AND THIS IS HOW LUI STARTED TO GROW ATTACHED TOO.

Lui liked the idea of them hanging out and his trust for him skyrocketed. He would do things like leaning against him or showing a few flaws that seem minor to others but meant a lot to his ego. It wasn’t exactly love, but it was more than just friendship. An understanding of one another that goes deeper than anything. When Free asked to be his partner, Lui was initially against it, saying he wasn’t capable of giving him the love he wanted. Free, as usual, dismissed it and assured him that he simply wants to have Lui for himself. In other words, he doesn’t want Lui to lean against anyone but him or to reveal his worst moments to him only, as if he claimed that spot. A tad of a red flag, but it was amusing enough for Lui to consider. What they have isn’t romantic to the typical sense, but it’s a strong trust that could possibly rival the resonance with their beys.
